Our missing friend

Chapter 56

I wake up with a pounding headache, this has got be the worst hangover I've ever had.

"Here take some Advil" Ruby says handing me a glass of water and some Advil

"Thanks" I mumble

"How did I get here?" I say as I look around and notice I'm in my room

"Zero, he dragged you over here and I stayed the night to make sure you were going to be alright" she smiles down at me

"Thanks" I say feeling bad that I made her worried "that was weirdly nice of zero" i say laughing but then stop because it hurts my head

"Yeah I made him" she laughs "and you did not go voluntary."

"O no" I say feeling my face get hot from embarrassment

"It's okay you didn't do anything too embarrassing" she smirks

"That's good to know" I say a little relieved

"Let's go eat" she says walking toward the door

"I don't think I can move" i whine not ready to get up

"Hazel you need something in your stomach " she says going into mom mode

"Alright" I sigh and slowly get up and follow her down to the kitchen, I sit down at my kitchen table where Ruby made eggs and toast

"Good I'm starved" I hear Trevor voice making me look over and see him sit down in the chair next to me

"Um where did you come from?" I can't help but ask

"I slept on the couch last night" he tells me as he start eating his eggs

"Anyone else here?" I ask them

"No" they say at the same time

"Where's Felix" I ask them since I'm surprised Felix not here worried about me too

"His house I guess" Trevor shrugs

"Probably trying to get that house cleaned before his parents get home" Ruby adds

I attempt to eat my breakfast but not really in the mood to eat, but I wasn't aloud to get up from the table until I ate enough.

I shower and get dressed and when I come back downstairs I see Trevor and Ruby are still here.

"I think we should go check on Felix" Trevor suggests to us

"Okay" I nod

We walk over to his house and Trevor knocks on the door, we wait about a minute until Felix opens the door looking very hungover.

"Morning" Trevor says a little to loud making me and Felix wince "o sorry" he whisper

Felix moves aside to let us in.

"I still got some more cleaning to do" Felix says

"We will help you" Ruby offers

"No that's okay" Felix shakes his head

"We insist, right?" She looks at me and Trevor

"Yeah I guess" I shrug

We start helping Felix clean his house and I don't know why but I feel like Felix is avoiding me or something but I'm probably just being weird I mean he's hungover.

I look over at Ruby who looks like she's having fun cleaning, she would find this fun.

"Can you get me a trash bag?" Ruby asks me

"Sure" I tell her and walk into the kitchen

I see Felix putting some dishes in the dishwasher. "Hey where's the trash bags?" I ask him

"In the pantry" he points without looking at me

I open the pantry door and grab a trash bag.

"So um do you want to talk about it" Felix asks me making me turn around and look at him confused not knowing what he's talking about

"Talk about what?" I raise an eyebrow

"Last night" he says slowly finally looking at me

"Last night?" I say mostly to myself trying to think what he could be talking about

He fidgets a little and scratches the back of his neck "about um the k-kiss"

I look at him for a minute still very confused until it finally hits me, we did kiss last night and actually in the kitchen too.

I gulp "o yeah" I say remembering everything

"Hazel I-" he starts saying but I cut him off

"Felix listen we were drunk it didn't mean anything okay?" I say not wanting to have this conversation of him telling me that he's with heather and besides we are better off as friends.
