We all meet back up at my house, we all look like we've been crying our eyes out.
Most kids are worried about prom and we are trying to find our missing friend.
"I brought something" Trevor says and pulls out his drawing note book and turns to a certain page, he turns the page to us and it's the picture of Daisy. It's beautiful, looks just like her. Her smile makes you want to smile.
"It's beautiful" Ruby tells him
"Daisy is going to love it" i say hoping she'll get to see it
"I'm ready to play the dvd now" I say all of a sudden
They look at me and I can tell they don't know if they are ready to watch it either.
I put it in the DVD player and we all sit on the couch.
"What do you thinks on here" Trevor asks
"We will never know until we watch" Felix says as he takes a deep breath and press play
It looks like a home movie.
"That's Daisy birthday party" Ruby says and she's right
All of a sudden I see all our young faces on the tv, happy and carefree.
"That was a good day" Felix says his voice thick with emotion
"I miss her" I say out loud
Felix grabs my hand and intertwines our fingers and gives me a kiss on the side of my head.
It's felt like a lifetime since I've last saw Daisy and she's all I can think about and I always want to know where she is or how I can find her.
"This one pretty" Ruby points at a dress
She thought prom shopping would take out minds off of everything.
"Pretty" I say uninterested
"Hazel?" She sighs
"Sorry" I tell her and then get a dress out that I actually like "what about this?" I ask her
"You would look so good in that!" she squeals "did Felix ask you to prom?" She smirks
"Yes" I blush "he took me on a picnic " I gush
"Aww" she smiles
"What about you? Anyone ask you?" I ask her
"Um" she trails off
" who?" I say dying to know
"Zero" she mumbles
"What!" I say a little to loudly getting of couple of people attention
"Yeah he asked me" she smiles shyly
"Wow you and zero" I laugh "he better treat you good" I smirk
"I already told him you would beat him up" she smirk back
"Damn straight" I nod
We both pick our prom dresses.
"I had fun today" she tells me as we drive home
"Me too" I agree "can you believe prom almost here and then graduation"
"I know it's sad" she pouts "this summer we should take a vacation or something"
"Right!" I say liking that idea
Ruby drops me off at my house, I hang my dress in the hall closet and go upstairs to my room.
I still wonder what this key means that around my neck. I look at Daisy diary and all her stuff that I keep on my desk. I look at those brochures that I found in her room.
"I really could use a vacation " I say to myself
I look at these beach brochures and they are so beautiful. Daisy did love the water. To bad her parents sold their vacation home.
Just as I finish that thought I remember something and I don't even bother grabbing my walkie talkie I grab my phone and call Felix
"Felix!" I yell as soon as he answers
"Are you okay?" He says quickly
"Remember that one summer a long time ago when we were like 7, we went to that lake house?"
"Yeah?" He says confused
"Was that Daisy parents lake house?" I ask him
"No" he tells me
"O" I say disappointed
"I think it was like a distant uncle that died or something" he says
"Felix! I think I know where she's at" I say trying hard not to get my hopes up
