"what else is in there?" I ask
Trevor looks in the box, he pulls out a teddy bear.
"That was daisy's when she was little" Felix says
"O yeah she used to carry it everywhere" Trevor says handing me the bear "Let's see was else is in here" he says looking inside the box
"A key?" Trevor says confused setting it on the coffee table
"A dvd" he says setting it on the coffee table too
"Paper towns book that has a sticky note on it" he says "it has your name on it Ruby"
He hands her the book "it says TO RUBY: IVE READ THIS A THOUSAND TIMES AND I KNOW HOW MUCH YOU LOVE BOOKS SO I THOUGHT YOU WOULD ENJOY IT. - LOVE DAISY"
"Wow that's so sweet" Ruby gushes
"Anything else?" I ask
"A diary" Trevor hands me
"Why did she give us these things?" I say
"And why not just give Ruby that book herself why did she give it to me to give to her?" Felix says
"Have you guys ever read paper towns" Ruby asks us
"I saw the movie" I say
"Me too" Trevor says
"Maybe she does want us to come find her and that why she gave you the book Felix so we would all come together and go look for her" Ruby says thinking out loud
"I don't think Daisy would do that" Trevor shakes his head
"Yeah why would she run away just so we would all go and find her" I say to her
"Maybe she was in trouble or something" Ruby shrugs
"But she has other friends why not say something to them" Felix says
"Because we all been best friends since we were little we have a bond" Ruby says quietly
"Who would she be in trouble with?" Felix asks out loud
"Maybe she had a boyfriend nobody knew about" Felix suggest
Ruby phone rings.
"O it's my mom I told her to pick me up from here" Ruby says
"Hey can I get a ride?" Trevor asks her
"Yes of course" she tells him "I'll see you guys later" Ruby tells us
"Later" Trevor gives us a little wave
I watch them walk out the door.
"What do you think?" I ask Felix
"I honestly don't know" he sighs " I rather her have run away than someone hurt her"
" me too" I agree " do you think she wants us to come find her?"
"It doesn't seem like something she would do"
"But what if she does want us to come find her and we don't even try?"
"Maybe she doesn't want to be found" he says looking at his hands
"I can't take looking at those missing persons poster" I say sadly
" I know" he gives me a small smile " hopefully everything will go back to normal soon"
"What ever that is" I mutter
"I better go it's getting late" he says standing up, I stand and follow him to the door
"Are you going to be okay?" He asks me seriously
"Yeah" I nod giving him a fake smile
He looks at me for a couple seconds then nods " I'm next door if you need anything"
"Ditto" I say opening the door for him
"Bye hazel"
"Bye Felix" i say as I shut the door
