Our missing friend

Chapter 69

In the car Diasy had told us why she put those things in the box that she gave to Felix.

"Those were things I cherished at one time and I didn't want just anyone to have it so that's why I gave them to you Felix" she looks at Felix from the backseat "I put that book in there because I thought then you and Ruby would have a chance to talk" she smiles at Ruby

"Why did you make me draw your picture?" Trevor asks her

Daisy looks at him and gives him a sad smile "I always wanted my picture drawn and I didn't want you or anyone to forget me"

"Your not a easy person to forget Daisy" I smirk at her

She smiles but it's sad "you know just because you guys are taking me home doesn't change anything" she says looking at each one of us "I'm still sick and my times running out"

"We aren't going to let that time go to waste" Felix says

She's right I thought all this would end once we found her and brought her home and everything would go back to normal, but it's never going to ever. she still sick and I'm going to have to say goodbye to her again but I found her, I did it.

I give her a smile and try not to stare, the last time I saw her she was Daisy. She was perfect, to her hair and makeup and even her clothes. Now she looks like she's lost 10 pounds and her hair is shorter and thinner. Her glow is gone and she has bags under her eyes, but she still our Daisy.

"I missed you" I say to her

"I missed you too" she tells me "I missed all of you so much"

It was almost like old times as we drove back home, it was like no time had past and nothing bad had happened. It was nice catching up on all the things we had missed those couple of years.

The closer we get to home though the car grows more and more quiet, I look in the backseat and see Daisy has her head on Trevor shoulder.

I look over at Felix "where are we going?" I ask him

"The hospital" he says "should we call someone?" He asks me

"We will when we get there" I nod
