"What's up kids," Ashley says as she takes a seat in the recliner.
"Nothing," I say.
"Well that sounds fun," she says sarcastically.
"Just loads," I shoot back.
"Have you talked to Erin since you got up?"
"No I haven't. I was thinking about calling her later."
"Alright. You guys doing anything today?"
"Uh we might go to Starbucks and hangout. You and Connor doing anything?" I ask.
"I don't really know. We might go see a movie or something. You guys should come, I feel like none of us ever hangout as a group anymore."
"Maybe we could get everyone together, I think Sam is still here," I say looking up at Kian.
"Yeah we should. That sound like fun."
"Alrighty I'll text the guys," I say.
I start a group text to Connor, Sam, Trevor, and Ricky.
Me- Hey. Ashley, Kian, and I were wondering if you guys would want to get together with us and go see a movie today or tonight.
It only takes a minute or so until I get a reply.
Sam- sounds good I got some news to tell everyone anyways.
Next is Trevor.
Trevor- yeah I'd love to see a movie, it's been awhile since we've all gotten together anyways.
Then Ricky.
Ricky- good with me.
Last is Connor.
Connor- Sure sounds fun!
Me- Alrighty, we haven't discussed what we should see yet so you all can just come over whenever and we can just go from our place.
They all reply and say that they'll be over in a bit.
"They said they'll be over in a while and we can decide what we want to see," I say.
"M'kay."
"What movies are out anyways?" I ask.
"Uh I think We're The Millers, Bad Grandpa, Conjuring. those are just the ones I know of," Ashley says.
"Ok."
"I'll be right back," she says.
"Alrighty."
She gets up then makes her way back upstairs.
"See, we're all getting together now," I say to Kian.
"I know, but still Erin and Jc won't be there."
"I know. It'll take some getting used to but it'll be fine," I assure.
He gives me a soft smile. I lean myself closer to him and put my head on his shoulder.
"Sam said he had something that he needs to tell us," I say.
"Did he say anything about it?" Kian asks.
"No he just said he needed to talk to us about something."
"Huh I wonder what it could be."
"I don't know."
The sound of rain grabs my attention as it starts to pound against the window. I get up and walk over to it.
I love when it rains in LA. Back in Kentucky it always rained so I hated it. But here it almost never does, and honestly when it doesn't you start to miss those days spent inside listening to it pound against the roof and the windows.
"Well looks like you were right," Kian says as he joins me next to the window.
"Of course I was, I'm always right," I say with a laugh.
"You wish," he says smiling.
"Oh yeah? Name one time I wasn't right?" I challenge.
He makes a thinking face, he stands there for a couple minutes.
"Exactly," I say. "You can't think of one."
"Well then think of one time that I was wrong," he challenges.
I make a thinking face, trying to replicate his.
"When you just said I'm not always right," I say.
"Good one," he says with a laugh.
"Well it's the truth."
"Whatever you say," he says jokingly rolling his eyes.
