"Who with?" I question.

She wipes her face with her palm and looks back up at me.

"You don't know him. He's someone I work with."

"Why?"

"I got lonely. Jc was always off doing his own thing and never had time to spend with me. Then I met Matt. He was always around, nice, good looking, and he cared about me."

"But Jc is all those things," I say.

"He wasn't around when I needed him."

"Then why didn't you tell him?"

"I tried but he just shrugged it off."

"I just don't see you doing something like this," I say.

"I know it was wrong, and if I could take it back I would without a question. I'm just worried about me and him, and what'll happen to Copeland if he doesn't forgive me."

"I know what you mean."

"I don't want her to grow up like this. I don't want her to have to question why she has to go back and forth between her parents. I just want her to have a normal life."

"It'll be alright," I say as I give her a hug. "Me and Kian will help you as much as you need."

"Thanks."

*Kian's PV*

The house is quiet. I hate being here alone, I hate not being with Annie. I know she said it'll only be until tomorrow night but I wanted to spend this time with her. We're getting married and I want her next to me not a thousand miles away.

I look at the clock. It's only 6. This is going to take forever.

*Jc's PV*

I dial Kian's number and listen to it ring.

"Hello?"

"Hey," I say through the phone.

"Hey, what's up?" He asks.

"Nothing really."

"Oh. How's Texas?"

"Alright I guess," I say.

"Did you really do that to Erin?" Kian asks.

"Do what?"

"Steal all her money and her drivers license?"

I let out a sigh. "Yeah."

"Why the hell would you do that?"

"I was mad and she hurt me."

"Something could've happened to her. She can't drive anywhere and she has no money. If Annie didn't go up there she would have nothing," he says.

"Why did Annie go up there?"

"To make sure she's ok. She isn't just going to leave her there like you did," he says bitterly.

"Look Kian I'm not going to just sit here and listen to you lecture me."

"Well you had no reason to do that to her."

"Yes I did! I may have taken it a bit to far but I did have a reason. She cheated on me."

"Oh."

"Yeah."

"Sorry. I'm just kind of upset right now," he says.

"Why?"

"Annie and I are getting married and I just kind of wanted to spend this time with her, but she's stuck in Alaska until tomorrow night."

"Oh."

"Yup," he says.

"I guess that's my fault."

"Kind of," he says flatly. "I've got to go though, I'll talk to you later."

"Ok, bye."

"Bye," he says then he hangs up.
