My phone starts to ring so I check the caller ID. Ashley.

"Hey," I say.

"Hey, what's up?" She asks.

"Oh you know just sitting around doing nothing. What about you?"

"Trying to control your boyfriend."

"Why what's he doing?" I ask.

"He keeps trying to come and see you. I have all the keys to the cars hidden in my room, so hopefully he won't find them."

"No matter what don't let him find them. I'm not in the mood to deal with him. Did you talk to Sam?" I ask.

"Yeah. He told me about the whole Jc thing and the party the other night. Then he said to do everything I possibly can to keep Kian in LA."

"Oh. So is Erin still believing the shit that Jc told her?"

"Actually no. Kian was talking to him and Erin overheard their conversation. Jc spilled the beans so they kicked him out."

"Well what's she going to do? Is she alright?"

"She's had better days, but she's doing fine," she says.

I pause sits between us.

"So really when are you coming home?" She asks.

"I don't know," I admit.

"You can't stay in San Diego forever. Eventually I'm not going to be able to keep Kian here."

"I know, I'm just so mad at him."

"He's upset too Annie."

"Good, he deserves it."

"He told me that you said you made a mistake loving him. Is that true."

I stay quite as I remember when I had said that to him. "Yeah."

"And did you mean it?"

"I don't really know. At that moment I did, but now I just don't know."

"He loves you Annie."

"I get that, but I feel like everything turns into an argument with him and we end up like this over and over again."

"That's a relationship. You guys have your differences, but you two always find a way to get over them. It'll be like that no matter who you're with."

I take a deep breath and close my eyes.

"I'm just tired of us fighting though. I hate when we fight because it's always so bad."

"Well then forgive and forget. Both of you guys are really stubborn and hard headed. You two don't like to just forget about things. Kian's trying to get over that though. You on the other hand aren't."

"So did you call to give me a lecture about how I need an attitude change?" I ask.

"No I called so I could help you fix your relationship. You don't have to take my advice but it'll help."

"Alright. Well thanks for telling me what happened."

"Just tell me when you're ready to see Kian. I can't really keep him under house arrest much longer."

"Ok I will."

"Bye," she says.

"Bye." I hang up and I'm back in my hotel room alone again.
