After about an hour of driving I see a sign saying 'San Diego- 3 Miles'. Well this is it. I'm almost there. A large sign at the next exit say 'Welcome To San Diego!' I get off at the exit and stop at the first gas station I see. I park and walk inside.
"Hi can I help you with anything?" The lady behind the cash register says with a smile.
"Um yeah. Is there any hotels around here that you would recommend?" I ask.
"Oh there's one about two miles down the road. It's right on the beach and it's very nice, but not to expensive."
"Alright thanks." I walk back out to my car and look at the name of the hotel the lady had written on a sheet of paper. I drive down the road and spot it. I park then go inside and check in. I take the room key and go up to my room.
The room is really nice. There's a balcony that looks right out over the ocean. I set my suitcase down and go out on the balcony. The salty air swarms around me. It's so hot outside that I start to sweat. I look down on the beach and see how many people are out and in the water. I go back inside and change into a hot pink bikini with frills on the top part.
I throw my hair up into a bun and grab a towel from the bathroom then slip on a pair of jean shorts. I walk down the steps of the hotel and out the back door leading to the beach.
The warm sun heats my skin almost immediately. I lay my towel down on the hot sand, slide my sunglasses on, take off my shorts and lay down.
After only laying there for ten minutes I fell a shadow over me. I open my eyes and see a guy probably about my age, maybe older with blonde hair that kind of looks like Kian's. He has well defined abs and a large built body with structured facial features that are still attractive.
"Can I help you?" I ask as I slide my sun glasses up and sit up.
"Uh hi, I'm Brian." He holds out his hand offering me to shake it.
"I'm Annie." I take it and shake.
"I know this might sound a little weird, but I'm having a party tonight and I wanted to know if you would like to come."
My mind travels to Kian. Should I really go to a party? I push the thoughts of Kian away and blurt out my answer. "Sure."
"Great," he flashes me a quirky cute smile. "Come to room number 430 around 8:00."
"Alright," I give him a smile.
"See you there." He winks at me and returns to wherever he had come from.
What the hell did I just do?
