I wake up to my phone vibrating on the table. I sit up and rub my eyes. It stops vibrating but a couple seconds later it starts again. I get up and grab it.

"Hello?" I say through a yawn.

"You actually picked up," Kian says.

My eyes widen and I'm now fully awake. I was still half asleep and I forgot to check caller ID.

"You still there?" He asks.

"Um-uhh." I stutter a little, unsure if I should say anything or not.

"Look you don't have to say anything I just want you to hear me tell you this. I made a mistake, like usual. I should've believed you from the start and it was stupid of me to say that we won't be getting married. I had no right to say that because I had no proof that you were ly-"

"No proof?" I scoff. "No proof?" I question. "You shouldn't have needed proof Kian. You knew something was up with Jc, that should've been your hint right there that I was telling the truth."

"Annie, will you please just listen?"

"No. I'm done listening. I'm done with our fights. Im done with this shit. But most importantly, I'm done with you," I snap.

He stays quiet. At that I make the move to hang up.

Now that I told Kian that, I feel relieved almost. I'm happy I told him the truth because it's about time he heard it. I toss my phone on the bed and walk into the bathroom. I take a nice shower then change into a pair of black high waisted shorts and an American flag tank top with a tie on the bottom of the front of it. I brush my hair out and let it dry naturally so it'll be in it's natural subtle waves.

When my hair is dry I slide on my white converse and grab my phone, some money, and my sunglasses.

I walk out to the parking lot and get in my car. The heat of the day is already burning hot again. I start to drive down the street. Truthfully I have no idea where I'm going. I stop at a little surf shop that looks like they might have some cute bikinis.

I lock my car then go inside the shop. The shop itself is actually really cute. It's like one if those family stores that looks as though it's been there for ages.

I walk around finding an occasional one that I like but when I try it on I decide to put it back. I walk back out to my car with empty hands and start to drive again. I drive past the marina that Brian had taken me to the other day and see his car parked in the parking lot. He's most likely out on his boat but it's worth the try to see if he's still there.

I pull up next to his car and walk down the dock. When I get far enough down I find his boat with him standing in it. His back is bare and he's facing away from me.

"Mind if I join?" I say. He jumps and turns around. "Easy there," I laugh.

"God you scared the shit out if me. How'd you know I was here?"

"I was just driving around and I saw your car here so I thought I'd come down and see if you were still around."

"Well you're in luck. I'm about to take her out," he says smiling.

"Her?" I question.

"Yes her. Haven't you ever heard a guy call his car or boat a her."

"No not really. A being that all the guys I know have shitty cars, and B being that they don't own boats," I say.

"Oh well then," he laughs. He holds out his hand for me to grab. I take it and climb into the boat next to him.

"So what's 'her' name?"
