California Dream Part Two

Chapter 6

"So what's the news you wanted to tell us?" Kian asks Sam.

I was so sidetracked about the restaurant that I forgot that Sam had news to tell us.

"Well Andrea and I are getting pretty serious, so we've decided to move in with each other."

"I thought you said there was more to it?" I say.

"I'm getting there. The other part is that we're going to buy a place up here. I've really missed you guys and I hate having to drive two hours just to see you all," he says smiling.

"That's great," Kian says.

"Have you guys been looking at places?" Ashley asks.

"Yeah we found an apartment that's like a block down the street from your guys' place."

"Cool."

"We'll finally be able to hangout like we used to back home," Kian says.

"Yeah. Andrea isn't to excited about moving though."

"Why not?" I question.

"All her friends are down there. She nows how much this means to me though so that's why we're doing it."

"Well Ashley and I need another girl friend now that Erin's gone. I don't think we'd last with just the two of us."

"Thanks guys, she's kind of nervous about you two not excepting her."

"Why wouldn't we accept her?" Ashley asks.

"I don't really know. I think she said something about how she used to date Kian and it would make things weird with you," he says looking at me.

"I'm friends with Ashley and we all know how weird of a situation that was," I say.

"Very true," Ashley says.

"Tell her everything will be fine and that we'd love to be friends with her."

"I will," Sam says.

We all finish our food then head back out to the car. It's about 20 minutes until the movie so we just go straight to the theater.

We pay for our tickets then go in. There's only about six other people so we all just sit in one row. Ashley sits on my left next to Connor then Kian sits on my right next to Sam.

I grab Kian's hand and squeeze it tight. He just lets out a little laugh, he knows how much I hate scary things. I didn't want to say anything because I knew how much everyone else wanted to see this.

"It'll be fine," he says. "Remember I'll be right here."

The movie starts and I continue to hold Kian's hand. Within about the first 15 minutes my feet are already pulled to my chest and I'm cuddling up to Kian. He understands that I'm scared so he takes his arm and wraps it around me. I continue to sit with my feet to my chest though.

Overall the Conjuring is a really good movie. That's coming from a person who hates scary movies though. It's not one of those suspenseful scary movies like Insidious, but it's more of one of those things popping out and scaring the shit out of you kind of scary movie.

About halfway through though there's this one really scary part. Well I thought it was scary. This lady just appears and is hanging from a tree. I ended up letting out a little yelp of fear and Kian just sits there and laughs. I mean it scared the bajesus out of me and I jumped and everything, but all my boyfriend does is sit there and laugh... thanks.

"That was so good," Ricky says as we walk out of the theater.

"Just wonderful," I say sarcastically.

I don't know, but I guess when I jumped it was pretty funny because every time Kian looks at me he can't help but laugh.

"Stop laughing at me!" I say through a smile to Kian.

"But it was so funny," he laughs.

"What'd she do?" Connor asks.

"When the lady hanging from the tree appeared she screamed and jumped out of her skin," Kian laughs.

"It wasn't that funny," I say.

"Oh my god, yes it was you were so close to falling out if your seat," He says continuing to laugh.

"Be quiet you know I don't like scary things."

"Remember when we went to Disneyland with Erin and Jc and me and you went on that haunted walk."

"Yes and I will never, ever, ever do that again. Why do you find it so funny when I'm scared."

"Because you just get so terrified."

"Well how could you not?" I question.

"Just think of it as though nothing could get you. I mean that's just a movie, and on those haunted walk things the workers aren't allowed to touch you or they'll be fired," he says.

"Ok, well when we end up seeing a ghost or when zombies become real and you do nothing good luck because I'm running."

"Ok then," he laughs.
