"That's a lovely picture of me you have there," Kian says as he points to my o2l wall.
"Oh my god. Don't look at it," I say laughing. I start to take the pictures down.
"No, leave it there."
"Why? It's really creepy," I laugh.
"I like it. It makes me remember the channels and how you used to be just a fan," he says smiling.
"Have you ever imagined where we would be right now if I had never gone to that meet up or if I had never even moved to California?" I question.
"No not really."
"I have. I always end up stuck here and unsure of what to do."
"I don't even know how you can imagine that."
"Why?" I ask.
"Because that scares me to think about that. I'm happy with every decision that I've made in my life. Without those decisions I probably wouldn't be anywhere close to where I am now," he explains. I look up and smile at him. "And I would've never met a beautiful girl named Annie," he continues as he smiles back.
I give him a kiss then look at my o2l wall again. I remember back to the days that I made the posters. The amount of time I put into them and how crazily obsessed I was. I lay down on my bed and close my eyes.
"Why does your dad hate me?" Kian asks.
"He doesn't hate you."
"Well then why doesn't he like me?"
"He's very picky about things. If things aren't the way he likes them he gets upset. Just don't let it get to you, keep being yourself and don't let him stop you from saying something."
"Alright."
I close my eyes and end up falling asleep. That night I have a dream of my dad and Kian getting into an argument about what's best for me. Everything they're saying just overwhelms me so I end up running outside. I run to the quietest place I remember. The broken bridge in the woods. I wake up to Kian moving around next to me. I roll over and look at the clock. It's already 10am.
"Morning," I say to Kian when his eyes open.
"Merry Christmas," he says with a smile.
"Merry Christmas to you too."
I try my best to push all my thoughts of my dream out if my mind as Kian and I walk down to the living room.
"Morning," my mom says.
"Morning," I reply.
Kian and I take a seat on the floor in front if the Christmas tree. It's always been my job to hand presents to people. It takes about an hour for all the presents to be opened except for Kian's present and my present from Kian.
"Here you go," I say as I hand Kian his present.
He rips the paper off the package. He looks down at the box and sees that it's a camera lens.
"What's this for?" He asks.
"Well you were telling me about how you miss making YouTube videos so I got you a new lens so you could have a bit of a fresh start to making videos again," I explain.
"Thank you," he says with a smile. "This is a really nice lens it must've cost a fortune."
"It was nothing," I say shrugging it off.
"Well I guess that's all the presents," my dad says.
"Wait there's one more," my sister says as she grabs a little box from under the tree.
She reads the tag on it and hands it to me. The box isn't big, but it isn't extremely small. I slowly unwrap it. Its a ring box. I open the box even slower. Finally once it's open all the way I see a beautiful diamond ring. The diamond in it is pretty big. The band on the ring is two different bands that criss cross where the diamond sits. All around both bands there are smaller diamonds inside of it.
I look up at Kian in shock. Never in my life have I seen something so beautiful. He gives me his quirky big cute smile.
"Annie, will you marry me?"
