I lay back on my bed and breath out sharply. I'm so sick of all this fighting between Kian and I. There's a knock at the door but I don't bother to get up.

"Go away Sam." I say loud enough to here through the door.

"Uh it's not Sam," a voice replies.

I get up and walk over to the door. I look through the peephole and see Brian. I open the door and smile.

"Hey there," he says.

"Hey, whats up?" I ask.

"Nothing really. Just kind of came to see how you were doing, your hangover seemed pretty bad this morning."

"Yeah I think I slept most of it off."

"Well that's good." A silence takes the place of words as we just stand there. "Uh I was about to go down on the beach to watch the sunset. You want to come?"

"Sure." I don't bother to grab my shoes so I just follow him down the hall to the elevator.

"So has Sam been bothering you?" He asks as we step in the elevator.

"Yes and no. I'm just kind of upset with him right now."

"How come?"

"He told Kian that I was here and now he insists on coming down here. Thank god my friend got home though to hide all the car keys from him."

The elevator doors slide open and we make our way outside onto the beach.

"So how was your day?" I ask.

"It was alright I guess. Slow kind of. I'd ask how yours was, but I think I already got an idea."

I laugh a little. "Yeah." We stay quiet as we walk further down the beach. The wind blows tossing my hair all around. "So what was that whole thing with Sam this morning. What'd he mean by 'Is she the girl you told me about.'?" I question.

"You don't want to hear it, it's stupid," he says trying to shrug it off.

"I want to know. Come on you can tell me."

He shoves his fists in his pockets as we continue walking. "I told him that I thought I found the perfect girl." Sadness fills his eyes.

"Oh," is all I can think to say.

"See I told you it was stupid. At that time I didn't know you had Kian. It was stupid to think that anyway, I knew you lived in LA."

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you the truth."

"It's fine. I came on strong anyways. If I were you I wouldn't have told the truth either."

"Hey," I say turning toward him.

"Yeah?" He stops and turns towards me.

"I know that I probably shouldn't do this, but do you mind if I just try something?"

"Sure."

I stand on my tiptoes and kiss him before he can say anything else. He doesn't pull away though. He leans down and wraps his arms around my waist.
