Summer Love

chapter 4

At the lodge****

We finally get to the lodge after slowly walking down cabin path. Quantum opens the door for me and I hobble my way in and sit at the closest chair. Just after I sit down the cabins start to file in and I groan because now I have to get up. The leader walks in shortly after everyone.

"Camp fire, cabins come to the meadow."

I turn to look for my cabin and realize they already left. I turn to Quantum with a pout. He understands what happened and tells me to join his cabin for the walk to the meadow. The cabin starts to walk over to the meadow with me trailing behind with my brother and Quantum. We finally get there and my cabin still doesn't notice my absence. I decide that because they don't notice I am just going to sit with Wyatt, Quantum, and the cabin.

After singing ten songs the leader slowly starts letting cabins go. Once Huckleberry is called I hoist myself up and join my cabin. Riley finally notices that I was at the camp fire and walks behind the rest with me.

"Pond," Riley yelled, "Riley and I have to go to the nurse for medicine for bed."

Pond nodded. We left the group and slowly ​walked to the nurse. When we got there the line for nurse contained for other people. One of them being Quantum. I went to stand right beside him and without anyone noticing he grabbed my waist under Neath the sweater he gave me. I looked up at him and smiled. The kids that just went into the nurse walked out and it was the Pine cabin boy's turn.

"Once Luke is done we can wait for to and we can all walk together." Said Quantum looking at Riley from across the porch.

She nodded and we waited for another five minutes. Once Luke was done Riley and I walked in and I sat down in the chair. The nurse have Riley her medicine and looked at my leg. She then gave me my sleeping medicine. She took the crutches and said I don't need to walk back with them. She said I could just get Riley or my counselor to help me back. I nodded thinking Quantum could help me.

Riley helped me out of the chair or the office onto the porch. I let go of her and baby grabbed for Quantum. He smiled and picked me up with my legs weird around his waist. I tested my head on his shoulder and secretly kissed his shoulder and neck. He started moving his neck around trying to get me to stop but it wasn't working. I finally decided that I didn't want to get caught and that I was really tired. I started taking to Luke from behind Quantum. We started talking about the year before and how we knew each other. Riley said that she remembered Luke and I from the year before. Quantum than entered the conversation saying he doesn't know any of us. We started laughing and I wrapped my self tighter around him.

We passed the Pine cabin and Luke ran up the ramp and into the cabin. We walked up the ramp of the Huckleberry cabin and Riley said she would see me in side. Quantum say done in the corner of the porch with me in his lap. It was really dark so nobody could see us.

"Well that was a entertaining first half day." Quantum said while he rubbed my back.

I nodded and looked up at him. I leaned forward and caught his lips with mine. I surely started to move my lips with him while I put my hands in his hair. He wrapped his arms around my waist and brought me closer to him. I left his lips and started kissing his neck. He pushed me face back to his and started to do the same thing to me. He bit down on a bit of my skin and sucked on it. He kissed it and then put me down. I hugged him and then said good night.
He walked down the ramp and I went in side. I went to my bed quietly and fell asleep pretty fast.

4:00am*****

I woke up to a ringing noise. I look around and it's pitch black. I start to hyperventilate. I can't breath and I'm starting to cry. I decide with the little brain I have to use left to go to the bathroom. But who do I wake up. I have to take a partner. Riley. Riley would come with me right.

"Pond, Pomd can I go to the bathroom."

She mumbles something that I am hoping is a yes. I got up and went to Riley's bed.

"Riley? Can you come to the washroom with me?"

She nods and gets out of her bed. We slowly go to the washroom because my ankle still hurts. When we get in the light she notices that I've been crying.

"Riley? Why are you crying?"

I look down embarrassed. I don't want to tell her I am scared of the dark but if I don't tell anybody this is going to happen every day.

"I am scared of the dark," I mumble. She hears what I said and she hugs me. She soothes me telling me that it's okay. We start going back to the cabin and when we get there she searches for something in her bag. She pulls out this little tiny light and hands it to me.

"You can use this for tonight. We can figure something else out for the other nights."

I thank her and we go back to our beds. Once I am lying down all I can think about is telling Quantum what happened. Maybe he has something I can do. With that I fall into a dreamless sleep.
