Dinner******

We were all dressed up for the last dinner. We decided that we were going to pick a partner and you would have to dress like them. Sirius didn't want to participate and we had eight boys. I was by myself, until Ethan offered to be my partner. Now I am wearing his favourite basketball shorts and his camp counsellor shirt. I am also wearing his hat that he always wears and I took his glasses. As for him, he is wearing my yoga pants that are a little too small on him. He is wearing my New York 79 shirt which on me you can kind of see my belly button so on him you can see his full abdomen. He is wearing my glasses and my bucket hat,

I believe that we did better than anyone else. Anyways we were sitting at our picnic bench eating dinner which was homemade pizza. I love Camp's pizza so much. I am sitting next to Ethan and listening to is conversation with the boys about packing tomorrow. The boys knew this was coming but we were all hoping it would never happen. I can't believe our week is over.

This place is my heaven. I love being here. I make the best friends here and have the best time with them. I learn so much about myself and I just love it. I love just walking through the beautiful nature that this property has. I know it's a little different me because I get to bring back something back from camp. My boyfriend who is also a counsellor. It might be the exact same but at least I will have someone that I know will always be in my corner. Ethan has been with me for this whole week and has never walked away from this. I am scared to go to school with him but I hope he will show the best of me. At school I am the girl who is sometimes loud but most of the time shy and quiet. I get tossed around a lot and get used. I am hoping that Ethan can help me change that.

I look up to him and see him looking down at me. I smile and lean my head on his shoulder. I'll be fine.

*********time skip to the next day, packing

I was just finishing with my sleeping bag as Ethan was putting all of his stuff away. All of the boys went to play GaGa ball while waiting for their parents but I told Ethan that I would help him clean the cabin and get our stuff to the lodge. I dropped my sleeping bag on the floor from where I was sitting on the edge of the top bunk. I looked around and tears started to well in my eyes knowing that it was time to go soon. Ethan turned around and saw me sitting there on the verge of tears. He made his way over and cupped my cheeks with his hands.

"Riley, what's wrong?" He asked with worry evident in his voice.

"I don't want to leave. I love it here. My home life and school life is not something I like and I am not proud of the way I handle it all. I don't want you to see the shy, wimpy version of me. I like the camp version of me, especially when I am with you." I say while the tears fall down my face.

"You will be okay. I dont't care if I see a different side to because I know real you and my mission is going to be to get the real you out and to show to the world." He says. I nod my head and wrap my arms around his neck. He places his hands on my waist and helps me down. We grab are stuff, making sure everything is clear, then we walk to the gaga ball pit.

Once we get there I see my dad and mom standing with my brother. I drop my things and run to my dad giving him a big hug.

"Hey Riri, we were just going to put Wyatt's stuff in tge car and stay for closing campfire. Where is your stuff?" my dad asks.

I bring them to my stuff and we go and put it in the car. When we get back my parents sit where the parents sit fir closing camp fire and I went to sit with Ethan.

I lean my head on his shoulder.

"I want you to meet my parents." I say to Ethan. "I know we live right next to each other but I want them to know you from the start."

He nods his head but before he can say anything the closing campfire begins.

Cabin after cabin goes up and tells everyone what they did throughout the week. They also sing a song that they enjoyed. My cabin just happened to be the last cabin called up. When we got uo there, I stood next to Ethan as he started talking in the mic.

"Hi so my name is Quantum and my co is Sirius. These all the boys of pine and the amazing girl of pine. We did a lot of swimming and high ropes. Everyone did the zipline in this cabin as well. We are going to be singing Rolling over pillows.

Once we sang the song we sat down whike the director talked a little bit. Once he was done he bid us farewell.

I got up and grabbed Ethan's wrist bringing him to my parents.

"Mom, dad, this is my counselor Quantum. He helped me a lot this week with some problems I was having. We actually live right next to each other." I told my parents.

My dad brought his hand out to Ethan and Ethan shook it.

"Thank you for watching my daughter this week. I guess we will be seeing you at home." my dad said to Ethan.

" Yup." Ethan said. A ding came from Ethan's pocket and Ethan took his phone out of his pocket.

He looked at it for a few minutes with a frown.

"Riley, can I talk to you for a second?" he asked. I nodded and walked away from my family

"What is it?"

"It's my mom." Ethan started. "She forgot to get up this morning so she is all the way in Hamilton. I told John I was leaving at closing campfire."

He was clearly upset that his mom forgot about him. I wonder if she has done it more than once. I think about what he could. I then think of the best idea for both him and me.

"Come with us. We have a Ford F150 truck so there is more than enough room in the back of the truck for your stuff and you can sit in between Wyatt and I." I explain to the upset looking Ethan.

"You think your parents would be okay doing that Riley?" He asks.

"I bet they will be totally fine with it. It's not like you live in a different city than us. You live a few houses down." I reply. I then run up to my parents and face my dad giving him puppy dog eyes.

"Daddy, Quantum's - or I guess his real name is Ethan - mom didn't get up this morning to make her way from Hamilton here so is it okay that you drive Ethan with us. He has no way of getting home and he told his boss he would be leaving now." I ask with my little girl voice. My dad is never able to say no to that.

"Where does he live?" My asked me.

"A few houses down from us." I reply.

"Yeah I guess, I'll grab his stuff and put it in the car. Say your goodbyes before you leave." And with that my parents grab Ethan's stuff and go to the truck.

I walk to Ethan and look up to his face with a smile. He looks down at me shaking his head and gives me a quick kiss on the lips.

"I love you Riley." He said

"I love you to," I say, "This is going to be a long ride, especially because my parents don't know we are dating."

"You could always just lean on my shoulder for the ride so that way we still have contact. It will make it so that way we don't have the urge to start making out in front of your family." He explains. I smile and start walking to the car with him, leaving our home behind for another year.
