After dinner and gaphi******

We were all in the cabin. None of us were really changing. We might be getting a sweater on but not actually changing. Most of us were getting our running shoes on and grabbing our bug spray to spray outside. I grabbed mine and made my way outside with my brother.

"So even though we are in the same cabin we don't talk much. How has your week so far?" I ask him while spraying my bug spray container on myself.

"It's been fine. I really wish I was in the Tamarack cabin because all those guys are like my best friends. But I like this cabin because I just like the Pine cabin. Also Quantum is an awesome counselor. Sirius not so much." He replied.

"I agree on Sirius. I mean sure the boys in this cabin aren't the best. But there are some cool boys in this cabin. Skylar seems pretty cool. Also I agree on the fact that Quantum is an awesome counselor. He is really funny and he watches over the everyone no matter what. He also agrees with us about Thomas the annoying kid in our cabin." I say.

The cabin door opens to reveal Ethan.

"Ri, can I use your bug spray?" He asks.

"Sure." I reply, passing the can to Ethan.

"Ri? Nobody calls you that, except mom, dad, and I. You don't even let your friends call you that." Wyatt speaks up.

"Yea, well I thought because Quantum and I are close because he is watching me for my anxiety that why not let him call me that as well. Also when we go home we still will be talking to him." I answer.

Wyatt nods. Then the other boys come out followed by Sirius yelling at us that we are going to be late to Prime Time. We ran to meet up with the other cabins. We got there with Sirius and Thomas at the back. We listened to the game the rules. We were going to play Gauntlet. Gauntlet is where we go in the hill forest where the beach stairs are. You start on one side of the forest and make your way over to the other side to get a canister. The only problem is there are counselors who have spray bottles and can spray you with water to get you out. If you are out you have to walk back and start over. It's one of my favourite games at camp.

We went over to the one side of the forest and waited for the go ahead to start the game. Once someone herd the go ahead we all started to make our way over to the other side. A lot of the boys at camp went to the top of the hill and went on their owns whereas a lot of the girls stayed in a group and stayed at the middle. My plan was to go down to the bottom and slowly make my way over to the bucket on the other side. I like to go alone so that way I don't get in the way of other people because I am a slow runner.

I made it half way where the stairs to the beach are and was never sprayed. But I noticed that there was a counselor with a spray bottle on the stairs. I looked at every possible way to get over to the other side without getting caught but I couldn't seem to fine anything. Then all of a sudden a pair of hands grabbed me by the shoulder and spun me around. I screamed until I realized that it was Ethan.

"What are you doing Quantum? Have you got a canister already?" I asked. He nodded. Go figure. My brother and Ethan are really fast and just go right through without thinking.

"I don't know how to get through without getting sprayed. The counselor is right there and knowing me I will be to slow to not get sprayed." I explain.

"Follow me." He responds. He grabs my hand and pulls me along. He takes me to a part of the stairs where you basically have to military crawl to get through. "Do you mind getting dirty? I can put these clothes you are wearing in the wash tomorrow if you want?" I nod. We get down on our stomachs making sure the counselor isn't looking and start army crawling across the ground. Once we get across we get up and Ethan grabs my hand again. He pulls me along the trail and we don't get noticed by anybody.

The problem was that around the bucket was a counselor I was never going to get past. Arctic. Ethan hid us behind a big tree that could hide the both of us. I looked up at Ethan. "I am never going to get past Arctic. He is to fast. It doesn't even matter that he is my Uncle it's never going to happen." Ethan looks at every angle of the situation. He looks back at me.

"I've got a plan. You are going to go get a canister. I am not. Now go." He whispers while pushing me forward. I walk around the scene and try to be quiet. I step on a stick and it cracks under my weight. "Shit."

Arctic looks at me and smiles. "Riley. I thought you might not be playing. I never saw you this whole game. Have you got a canister yet?" He asks. I shake my head. "Well, I'll make you a deal. I you can get a canister from behind me I'll give you a hug and I'll hang out with you tonight and tomorrow morning. Deal?"

I thought about it. I've loved Arctic like a brother for four years now and to finally be able to hang with him for more than a few minutes would be awesome. "Sure. I'll take the deal." He smiles.

"Ok go." He says. I look for a place to go when all of a sudden Ethan runs out from behind the treehouse next to Arctic. While Arctic is distracted with Ethan I run the short distance to the bucket. I grab a canister and put my hands on my head. Because I have a canister I get a free walk back. Arctic turned around to see me smiling with a canister in my hand. He smiled back.

"You did it so now I'll be with you tonight and tomorrow." He said. I nod smiling. "Now come here Riley. I've missed you." I run up to him and jump. He catches me and holds me tight. The hug lasts a few seconds and I let go and hop down. Ethan walked up from behind me and linked our arms.

"Hey Arctic." Ethan said.

"Hey, what are you doing here Quantum?" Arctic asked confused.

"I'm Riley's counselor. She moved into the Pine cabin. Why?" Ethan said.

"Well, I made a deal with Riley that if she gets a canister that I would hang out with her and her cabin for tonight and tomorrow morning. Is that okay?" Arctic asks, I look up to Ethan with pleading eyes.

Ethan sighs. "Okay." I got really excited and hugged Ethan's side. "Thanks Quantum."
