I grab the jacket that Ethan was holding and put it on covering myself. I know if my grandparents see my top any longer they are going to start getting angry for revealing my stomach.

"Hi." I say with a weak smile.

They walk closer and see the letter I put on Carmen's grave.

"We came here to see Carm's grave. We figured nobody would be here for it because your dad and you guys don't come until August." My grandpa says.

"Yeah, I know but my boyfriend Ethan wanted to bring me here because I won't be here in August and Wyatt told him this would be great place to bring me today." I explain saying the boyfriend part quietly. My grandparents always told me that getting  boyfriend can come after I get into University and after I graduate from there to. They are totally against boys.

"Boyfriend?" My grandma replies.

I nod. " Guys this is my boyfriend Ethan. Ethan this is my grandma Maria and my grandpa Sam." I say meekly.

"Hi, I'm Ethan. It's a pleasure to meet you." He says confidently.

They look at him with a hint of disgust. I sigh.

"Okay, well Ethan and I had other places we were going to go to today and I expect that you guys would want to be alone when being at Carm's grave." I say grabbing Ethan's hand slowly dragging him away from my grandparents.

"Does your dad know about him?" My grandpa said with disgust evident in his voice.

"Yes, he does and just like you he isn't happy about it. Ethan is two years older to me and for some reason that makes everyone mad. Ethan is amazing and he helps me when nobody understands. You all tell me that I am over exaggerating and I need to get over it. Ethan helps me with the problem and doesn't get mad at me for it. I love him and if you can't except that then please don't call me anymore and please don't expect me to apologize either because I will never be sorry. I am just being like you grandpa, not going to destroy my pride by saying I am sorry for once." I explained and dragged Ethan out of the building and to the car.

"I'm sorry." Ethan said when we got in the car.

"Why are you sorry? You didn't do anything Ethan." I replied.

"Everyone in your family but your brother doesn't like me. Your dad and grandparents don't like the age gap or the fact that your distracting yourself with a boy. Your mom doesn't seem to actually care. Your brother is the only one who actually said he was perfectly fine with me. I am the reason you keep fighting with family members and it isn't right." He rambled.

"Ethan, I have been non stop fighting with my parents since they started smoking and as for my grandparents, they are always slightly disappointed in me about almost everything so don't worry about it.  All that matters is that I believe that you are good for me and that we love each other which is true right?" I asked.

"What kind of question is that? Of course I do. You are my everything to me." He replied.

"Then get moving boy because we have places to be and at a graveyard in a fight with my grandparents is not one of them." I said as Ethan laughed. He started the car and I turned the volume up to listen to Shawn Mendes.

****** time skip******

We have been driving for about a half an hour and I had no idea where we were. Ethan seemed to know as he was having no problems getting to where ever we were going. On the radio Ed Sheeran and I start to quietly sing along. I really like Ed Sheeran. I like to sing but I am not totally into singing in front of people. I have sung in front of crowds but that's a lot of people who can't judge me to my face. If I am by myself with a small group of people it's easier to get judged to my face and I don't like that.

It got to the chorus and I got a little louder but hopefully not enough for Ethan to hear me. Once the song finished at a red light Ethan started clapping. I blushed.

"That was good Riley. You have an amazing singing voice. Why don't you sing more often? I could barely here you when we were at camp. I am surprised I didn't realize before hand." He said while reaching over and stroking my hand.

"I mean, I don't like people hearing my voice and then judging me. I don't like being judged." I reply.

"I think your wonderful." He said.

"Of course you do. You think everything about me is wonderful. And before you go on a big rant about the fact that I am no matter what I say can you please tell me where we are going." I pleaded.

He shakes his head with a smile on his face.

"You don't like surprises do you?" He asked with a smirk.

I shook my head with a smile on my face. My feet were brought up to my seat as I opened the window and looked outside. It was so pretty outside. It was that time of summer where it was hot but everything looked so lively. I hated the heat but the liveliness of everything was breathtaking.

I will miss this summer but maybe we can make next summer just as good. While we were still driving Imagine by John Lennon came on. I sang along because I really loved this song.

We pulled into the parking lot of a forest. I was confused but got out of the car when Ethan shut off the engine and opened his door. I gave him back his jacket and looked up to him.

"What are we doing here?" I ask with a smile on my face.

"Well, when my mom and dad were together we used to come here and walk the trail that was here. I love the outdoors and I thought I would bring you to one place I love." He said as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Have you ever brought anyone else here before?" I question. As special as this is it would affect me if he brought his old girlfriends here before making it not as special.

He shook his head. I smile. "Cool, so one condition about taking a hike along this trail is that I am really bad when it comes to hikes. Remember when you took the Pine cabin on one of your famous hikes at camp?"

He smirks. "Yeah, I remember. You were at the back and you didn't understand why we just kept going up and down hills when that was the hardest part for you. Your very clumsy and need someone to help you up and down those kinds of things so I had to get Sirius to lead the hike while I hung back with you helping you out. I didn't mind though because that meant that I could hang with you with a reason."

"Yeah well, this is going to be the same thing so please be slow and help me out a bit. I don't know why I have such a hard time with hikes that go up and down hills but I always seem to slip and get hurt." I reply.

"I'll always help you and I'll be having fun as long as I am doing something I love with the person I love." He states with a smile. I lean forward and kiss his lips.

"Well, sir lets get this show on the road." And with that we entered the forest and started on the trail.
