chapter 42

Once Ethan parked the truck we got and walked to the doors. As soon as we got in I saw Erza standing with somebody but I couldn't tell who it was because they had their back turned.

I dragged Ethan by the arm and walked over to them.

"Hey Erza." I say. The both of them turn to face me and I notice its Aubrey.

"Oh, hey Aubrey. I didn't know you were coming as well." I said.

"Well I figured that you were bringing your date that I should bring mine." Erza said grabbing Aubrey's hand.

I was surprised. Before I left for camp these two hated each other. Aubrey thought that Erza was annoying and rude to people. Erza always said that Aubrey's voice was annoying and she was to smart for her own good. I grabbed Ethan's hand and squeezed it trying to let him know that I was taken back and not in a good way. I think he got the message because he wrapped his arm around my waist and brought me closer to him.

"Well that's great. I am really happy for you." I said politely to the two of them.

"Let"s walk around." Erza demanded. We started to walk around passing stores like Pink or Garage. I never liked those stores because they never really had my size and it was to expensive.

We stopped at the Ardenes on the second floor of the mall. Erza and Aubrey walked over to the jeans section because the two of them always wear jeans. They never really wore shorts. Ethan and I walked over to the shorts section. I looked around a little bit because I was never really in to shopping.

"Riley, these shorts look like they would be cute on you." Ethan stated. "And with this flowery crop top you would look even cuter."

I looked at the clothes he was talking about and i looked down and sighed. He was right. They were cute but I was to big to look nice in that.

"Ethan is I wear that shirt the fat of stomach is going to buldge out and those short wilk make my thighs look bigger than they already are." I said sadly.

Ethan looked at the sizes of the short and found a large. He than went to the shirt and got a large for that also. He gave then to me and told me to try them on. If I didnt like it I have to get them. I nodded and walked to the change rooms.

Once I had it on I walked out of the change rooms and saw that Ethan was sitting right there.

He looked at me and had a big smile on his face.

"Riley, you look beautiful. Your stomach is not sticking out and your shorts look great on you. But if you don't want to get it, if your not comfortable in it, its okay." Ethan said.

I looked down at my self and blushed. I liked the outfit a lot and if Ethan said I look good then I must be alright. I look down at the price tag of each piece and look at Ethan wide eyed.

"Ethan the shirt is $15.99 and the short are $17.99. I don't even have that much money if we weren't getting lunch."

He comes over to me and wraps his arms around my waist.

"Riley. I'm paying for this. This looks so good on you and I wouldn't have told you to get it if I wasn't paying." He explains softly. I nod and walk back into the change room to get back into my normal clothes.

I walk back out of the change room and Ethan and I walk to the cash register.

Once Ethan pays for it and the lady gives us the bag we walk outside of the store to wait for Erza and Aubrey.

I pulled out my phone and text Erza asking where she is.

A few seconds later I got a text from her.

Aubret and I went to Hot Topic. We got bored of waiting for you guys and decided to leave.

I frowned. The whole point of this trip was to hang out with Erza and Aubrey and if they kept ditching us then we weren't doing what we planned to do.

"They left." I stated. "Erza left with Aubrey because they got bored of waiting for us. We didn't even take that long. Maybe five minutes at least."

Ethan grabbed my hand ans queezed it to get me to calm down.

"It's okay Ri. We can go to Hot Topic and catch up to them." he says calmly. I nod and we make our way to Hot Topic.

Once we get there I see Erza and Aubrey standing at a certain section if the store. The Supernatural section. My favourite section. We walk in and go to where they are.

"Hey Riley. I saw this Supernatural shirt and I thought about you. I got it and I wanted to give to you as a welcome back present." Aubrey said handing me a Castiel shirt in my size.

"Thanks so much Aubrey. I love it." I excitedly say. I give her a quick hug and put the shirt in my Ardenes bag.

"Riley we are going to eat. We decided McDonalds so if you want, come with us." Erza said shortly. I nodded and looked at Ethan. He shrugged and i looked back at Erza.

"Yea we'll come with."

We left the store and walked out of the mall. We walked across the street and to the McDonalds. Erza and Aubrey went to order as Ethan and I went to a kiosk to order so we didn't have to talk.

Ethan ordered a Big Mac with medium fries and a medium soft drink. I ordered a 10 pack of nuggets and medium fries with a medium soft drink.

Ethan and I had a small arguement about who was paying. I told him that my mom me money so that way we could get lunch but he said that he was going to pay because he wanted to and because its a gentlemen thing to do. Eventually he won and payed for the food.

We got our food and found the booth that Erza and Aubrey were sitting at. We moved into the booth and started to eat.

"So how do you guys meet?" Erza said.

I looked at Ethan and he spoke up.

"I was Wyatt's counselor but I saw Riley in another cabin and she was having a hard time with her anxiety."

"Leave it to Riley to freak out at camp." Erza said rolling her eyes.

Ethan ignored her and kept talking.

"I started talking to her and eventually started to develop a crush on her. I found out that she felt the same way. We started dating and have been since then." Ethan finished.

Aubrey looked at us all happy but Erza looked mad.

"So Riley how does it feel to date a adult when they don't know that you are in love with a teacher?" Erza said with a smirk.

Aubrey looked between Erza and me in shock and Ethan clenched his fist in anger. I looked down with tears threatening in my eyes.

What could I say to save myself?
