********Wednesday morning
"Wake up Angel, it's 6:15am."
I open my eyes and am met with Ethan's face. I cuddle up to him, hiding from the light.
"What are the morning activities today?" I mumble against his chest.
"There is story telling, yoga, and Gaga ball." He replies.
I pop up really fast. "Gaga ball?"
He laughs. "I knew you would want to go to that."
"In the girl cabins, the only time we get to play Gaga ball is morning activities because none of the other girls want to go play."
I get up and climb down the ladder on my bunk quietly as not to wake up everyone else. Ethan follows after me to grab clothes.
I grab my pink gym short shorts and my Cozumel, Mexico sweatshirt. I grab my black bandana and my running shoes. I put them in Ethan's bag and make sure our toothbrushes and toothpaste is in there. Ethan picks up the bag after he puts his clothes in and we make our way to the lodge. On the way we see a bunch of girls with bathing suits on running to the beach.
At this camp they do this thing called the Polar dip where you go down in the morning to the beach. You go in the water and dunk your head in. If you do that four days throughout the week you get a prize. I did it one year and I don't plan on doing it again.
When we get to the lodge Ethan passes me my clothing and my toothbrush with toothpaste on it. I stick my toothbrush in my mouth and run into the bathroom to change. Once I am done changing I go to the sink and brush my teeth. I leave the bathroom once I'm done and wait for Ethan. He walks out the bathroom and I put my stuff in his bag. We link arms and walk outside to the pit.
Shea (another counselor that my brother and I know from the previous year) was at the pit with a few other girls. They just about to start a round when Ethan and I ran over to the pit. Ethan dropped his bag on the bench and we hopped in the pit.
Gaga ball rules are that you are in a big dusty pit. There is one or to balls involved and what you have to do is hit the balls at other people trying to hit there legs. You can only hit the balls with your arms and you can't scoop or your out. If you get touched on the leg or feet with a your out. If you hit a ball out of the pit your out. And if you hit a ball once and it doesn't hit the wall and you touch it again your out. A lot of the boys like playing this but some girls do to.
Anyways the ball is put into the game and it begins. A few of the girls got out after five minutes of playing, leaving two of them, Shea, Ethan, and I. The ball comes towards me and I hit towards one of the girls. It hits her on the knee and she hops over the barrier to get out. Shea gets the other girl by hitting her feet with the ball. This leaves Shea, Ethan and I. Ethan hits the ball towards Shea but it misses, hits the backboard and comes toward me. I try to jump over the ball but instead when I land from the jump my feet hit the ball and I fall over the barrier, landing on my back on the ground. Where I rock is. My luck is just great.
I yell out in pain. Ethan hops over the barrier and rushes over to me. He gently picks my back off the rock and sits in front of the rock and right behind me to give comfort to me. He uses one hand to keep my back away from him while he uses his other hand to look at my back and see what the damage is.
"Is she okay Quantum?" Shea asked. By now the group of girls and Shea are surrounding me trying to see if I am okay.
"Uhhhh, well she has a big gash on her back where the rock hit her. Other then that there is nothing else wrong with her back. Riley, do you feel anything else? Is there anything else wrong?" Ethan asks.
"I can't feel much of anything. Everything is spinning. My head hurts." I manage.
"Well we are going to get you to the nurse to fix your back and give you medicine for your head okay Riley?" Ethan says. I nod my head and feel Ethan and Shea start to lift me up.
"I can't leave these girls Quantum, so if you could take Riley to the nurse that would help. Especially since she is your camper." Shea tells Ethan.
"Sure, I mean. I can carry her. I've done it before. And the nurse is right there. Could you just tell Sirius that Riley and I are at the nurse and we might miss Chapel and Breakfast." Ethan replies.
Shea promises that he will tell Sirius and Ethan starts to pick me up. I try to help get myself up but than I start to feel really tired and dizzy.
"Ethan, I can't see. I feel really sleepy." I tell him.
"Don't sleep Riley. We got to get you to the nurse." He says.
But right when Ethan has me in his arms, my eyes get way to heavy and with that blackness takes over.
