Summer Love

chapter 11

"What do you mean?" asked Ethan.

"She was my counselor last year. She talked about you a lot. Everyone thought you were dating her. My whole cabin did exactly. We all thought it was cute because the way she described you and talked about you guys sounded amazing. She is a big nerd as well so it was kind of like nerd love, no offence. If it makes you feel better I am a nerd too. Maybe not as big as you and Alex but still a nerd. Anyways when I met you yesterday and you said Quantum I knew who you were I just didn't know what you looked like. I thought you guys were dating so when you gave me that note I was confused. But now it makes sense." I said. He looked at me with pure disgust on his face.

"She told people we dated?" He asked. I nodded. He shook his head like he was trying to get something off of him. It was quite funny so I started laughing.

"What are you laughing at?" He asked getting close to me. I started to shake my head trying to back away from him as fast as I can in water. He went under water and I couldn't see him anymore. Then I felt someone poke my back and I turned around. Ethan grabbed my face and kissed me. I reacted immediately and put my hands in his hair and wrapped my legs around his waist to make it easier. He pulled away from the kiss and pulled me closer. I put my head in his chest and sighed. He looks down at me and smiles.

"I love you Riley." He says, "We really need to be careful with Ale though because she is going to want to figure out who I am dating and if she finds its you then she will go to my boss and get me fired and you will never be able to work here."

I nod in his chest. "I know. I love you too Ethan."

All of a sudden the whistle blows indicating that swim time is over. I stay latched to Ethan as he walks over to the shore and then lets me down so I can walk. I latch my arm with his like we always do and walk over to his towel. He grabs it and wraps it around his shoulders. He then takes his bag and comes with me to my towel. We go over and my towel is the only towel at the area meaning that my cabin already left.

"I thought some of the girls went into the water." I said mostly to myself.

"I guess not Riley. I mean I guess it doesn't really matter I can just take you up to your cabin." Ethan replies.

I nod and follow him to his cabin. He stops beside Wyatt and Wyatt looks at me.

"I don't remember you being in our cabin." He says.

"Riley's cabin left again without her. We were in the water and when the whistle blows we got out to get her towel and her cabin was already gone." Ethan says.

"Why do you guys do almost everything together. It seems like every time Ri"s cabin is gone you are there to take with you." Wyatt says back to Ethan with a puzzled look.

Ethan shrugs and just tells the boys to follow Sirius. We followed behind the boys up the stairs. We got to the top and the boys used the hose to get the sand off their legs. The boys started walking to the cabin while Ethan and I were using the hose. Ethan saw me struggling to get all the sand off so he walked over and rubbed off the sand from me leg. We then latched arms and walked to my cabin. When we got to my cabin, all the towels were on the clothes line meaning that the girls were already gone. I looked up at Ethan and pouted.

"They left me again Ethan. Why do they always forget about me. I mean yeah I'll admit that I don't really talk to any of them. I only really talk to Riley, Emma and Flora but that's just barely. But it doesn't mean you forget about a camper." I looked down. It really was pissing me off that my cabin kept forgetting about me.

"I've got an idea. I can talk to John (The boss) about it." says Ethan.

"Would you like to elaborate on that idea for the people who can't read minds? I said sarcastically. He looks down at me with a smirk.

"My idea is that maybe you can be in my cabin." he says.

"How will that happen? I am a girl. I can't sleep in your cabin. And the quest program has that the girls and boys don't mix cabins." I said confused.

"Well maybe if I tell John about your cabin and how I watch you more than they do and about the cover story we made to Alex maybe he will believe me and let be in my cabin. You will still sleep in your cabin unless John wants you to sleep in your new cabin. There is a bunk above me and the boys probably won't mind. The only thing that will have to happen is that when its time to change you go to the bathroom and the boys change while you are gone." He says to me. I smile. This could actually work and I won't have to be stuck with y awful cabin. I would be closer to Ethan without it being to weird and I would be with my brother.

I nod my head. "How about right before dinner you ask John about that and then at Gaphi you and I can pack my stuff if he says its okay."

He hugs me and starts to walk away. I grab his arm and turn him around. He looks at me confused.

"Can I wear one of your sweaters please?" I ask with puppy dog eyes.

He smiles and nods and runs up his ramp. Five seconds later he comes back with a sweater that's royal blue and has Quantum in cursive writing on the back. I thank him and tell him to wait for me. I turn around and run up my ramp to my cabin. I go in and take off my bathing suit. I grab my undergarments and put them on. I throw on Ethan's sweater on and a pair of short jean shorts. I then towel dry my hair, put it in a bun and put my black bandana on. I grab my glasses, watch and my bag. I put my flip flops on and run out the door. Waiting at the end of the ramp is Ethan. I run up to him and latch my arm with him.

We walk over to the lodge and notice that we are eating outside. I spot John across the dinner space and nudge Ethan. He looks where I am looking and sees John. He looks at me, smiles, and walks over to John. I go and sit where my cabin is supposed to sit. I talk to Riley about what might happen. She looks at me weird but changes the subject.

All of a sudden there is a chin on my shoulder.

"He said yes." That's all I needed to hear to know it was Ethan telling me John said it was okay.

"Really? He said okay that easy?" I asked.

"Well, he was confused at first but I explained the situation and how you trust me a lot and he said is it okay with the boys and Sirius. I went up to Sirius and he said that if John said it was okay then he doesn't care. Now all we have to do is tell the boys." He explained.

"Well then. Lets tell them before dinner starts." I said with a smile on my face.

Ethan called all the boys over to us and after a few minutes of complaining that we are interrupting their game they all came over to us.

"So," Ethan started, "We have a new camper joining our cabin."

All the boys started talking. "Who?" Wyatt said.

"Me." I said with my arm latched with Ethan.
