chapter 28

I walked back to the cabin from cabin hill. This gave me time to think. I am mad at Ethan for hurting Arctic even though he did kiss me. But I am also not one of those girls who is going to be mad just for something that can be fixed so easy. I think I am just going to hang with Riley, Emma, and Flora for the day and then figure it out later.

I got to the cabin and grabbed my clothes, toothbrush and tooth paste. I headed back out to the lodge so I can get changed and figure out what the cabin is doing right now. I didn't notice how long we were at the nurses until I checked my watch after dropping Arctic off at the Harmony House.

I got in the lodge and quickly walked to the bathroom. Once I was changed and brished my teeth i went out to the main part of the lodge to see where the cabin was. It was the start of session one which for the cabin was apparently arts and crafts.

I walked out of the lodge and back to the cabin to drop my clothes off. I went over to my bed to notice that it was already cleaned. I grabbed my bag with my stuff in it and made my way to arts and crafts.

When i just got to the hill before the Harmony House where arts and crafts were I could here my brother and his friends in the cabin singing the chorus of Ride by TØP. They go to one part of the song so I ran down the hill and started joining in. The boys turned around to me singing at the top of my lungs and they all started laughing at me. I hopped over the bench and sat between Wyatt and Skylar. I asked what we were doing and Skylar showed me.

I got up to the table to grab everything I needed and started to make a jar full of cotton that in the end was going to look like a galaxy.

I talked to Wyatt and Skykar the whole time that I didn't notice until we got up to leave that Ethan was staring at me the whole time. We walked back to the cabin to get ready for lunch. I was starving because I never actually ate anything today. I walked with Josh because we were talking about playing the guitar. He told me that at down and out he can teach me to play a little and maybe we can pick a song for the two of us to perform at the campfire tonight.

Some of the boys went inside to change from the clothes they were wearing for the morning activities. Josh, Ethan and I stayed outside.

"Josh, can I talk to Riley alone for a couple minutes?" Ethan asked Josh. Josh started to get up to give us privacy but I stopped him.

"No Josh stay, Quantum if you need to talk to me Josh can stay?" I retorted. I was not staying with Ethan by myself right now. I was not really angry with him anymore but I just needed some space. We have been near each other for three days and I love him but I am used to being alone.

"Never mind then. Can I talk to you at down and out?" Ethan asked with determination in his voice.

"Sorry Quantum, I asked Sirius if Riley and I could sit out on the porch and practice a performance for campfire and he said sure." Josh replied. "Maybe you guys can talk at showers later. We have that after down and out."

He nodded and got up. "You guys can come with me to the lodge. We can go wash our hands and wait for the rest." We got up and followed him to the lodge. The whole way Josh and I were talking about how Brendan Gallagher was the best hockey player ever.

"No he isn't. Sidney Crosby is the best. Even people who don't like hockey know who he is. I don't think anybody knows who Brendan Gallagher if they don't watch hockey." Josh said. I folded my arms.

We got to the lodge and washed our hands. We waited for the rest of the cabin and then we were called for lunch.

We were all at the cabin. The other boys were getting in there beds to either go to sleep or draw. Josh and I were going out with his guitar and my ukulele. I wasn't going to bring it this weekend because I didn't know when I was going to use it but I guess I found a use.

We opened the door and went to the bottom of the ramp. We sat at the picnic bench and sat on the table part of it. We started tuning our instruments and played different songs to warm up.

"What song do you think we should do?" Josh asked.

"Well, I was thinking of playing Can't Help Falling In Love With You by Elvis Presley. I know how to play that song and it's a nice song to play at a slow event like the campfire." I replied.

He nods and gets ready to start playing. I hold ukulele close and start strumming. Josh follows along. I open my mouth to start singing because I wasn't sure if Josh knew the words.

Josh came in at some points of the song but it was mostly me singing. When we finished I looked at Josh and smiled. I put my ukulele down and he did the same with his guitar. He turned to me and stopped what he was doing. He came close, taking his hand and putting it on my cheek and connected our lips. He moved his lips against mine and slowly I did to. I realized what I was doing and I broke free.
