Minutes went by and I was awake... Well... What felt like minutes. I looked around and saw the same surroundings before I blacked out. Except there was a calendar to my right. I tried to see what day it was but it was too dark. I looked up to see the pull chain for the single light bulb. I started to get up but pain engulfed my body. But that didn't stop me.

I got up. I had forgotten how short I was. I was going to have to jump to turn it on. I tried once, but someonething held me down. I felt pain in my right ankle. I looked down to see a metal contraption on my ankle. I followed the chain connected to the metal on my leg. It led to the wall.

Then it hit me.... I was chained to the wall!! I jumped again still not making it far. I kept jumping and jumping, yet never coming close. I slumped back to the ground in defeat. I pushed the pain to the back of my head.

I looked over to the calendar. It was within my reach. I felt the calendar wishing I could tell what day it was. The calendar wasnt smooth at all.

I felt around the calendar and engraved in each day was an x. I felt around for the first x. It was the month of May, so there was 31 days... I counted all the way to 19 my birthday... when everything bad went down.. I continued to count the x's, which never seeming to end.

There was 6 more x's after my birthday. I have been passed out for 6 days..

I heard a jimgling sound as light appeared at the top of the stairs. The man closed the door behind him and locked it from the other side.

He came down with a tray of food. A small piece of bread and the tiniest bowl of soup. Off to the side he had a glass of water.

I hadn't realized how hungry I was until the food was in front of me.

"Sleeping who're is finally awake..." he chuckled at his own joke.

I didn't say anything. I just glared at him. He seemed to find my scowl even more funny. He dropped the tray in front of me... losing half my soup and the bread onto the cold concrete floor.

He set the glass of water off to the side... Too far for me to reach.. I needed the water. I tried reaching for it, but he set it too far away. My fingertips barely grazed the water glass.

The closer I got to the glass, the more pain I felt in my ankle. The metal contraption would break through my first layer of skin.

He stood there watching, smirking silently to himself. As if all of this was just a game to him.

I allowed the metal contraption to dig into my skin and grabbed the water. I gulped the first half, not caring how much was left.

"You're lucky your not healed yet. The things I would've done to you..."

I looked up at him, daring not to say a word.
