Minutes felt like hours. I had just wanted to be alone to mourn. I reached out my hand and stroked his bloody face

"What happened to forever. We were supposed to be happy." I choked.

I heard a small creak. I jerked my head back to see who was there. Sure enough the favorite child walks through the door. She was only 6. She didn't cry, she just sat next to me and hugged me.

"GET OFF ME!!!! LEAVE ME ALONE, GET OUT!" I screamed. She quickly got up with her face looking down to the floor. Just as she was about to leave. She looked back. Tears escaped her brown orbs as she turned away and ran out.

I couldn't just sit here forever.... Sometimes its better to be strong than weak in your darkest moments. I told myself 10 seconds and you walk away. One..... Two..... Three I kiss his forehead

Six.... Seven.... Eight I stand up

Nine..... Ten a single tear manages its way out of my cloudy grey eyes as I walk away. I slowly drag my feet across the floor as I walk to the kitchen... I have lived in this house my whole life. And now looking at everything, it seems so foreign.

When I reached the kitchen, I sat in front of my cold pancakes. I stare at what I once called appetizing. I gather the courage to look up at my mother. No! She's not my mother.

The woman whom I couldn't recognise was speaking to a strange man. He had a full beard, a full head of shaggy black hair, and a beer belly which made santa look skinny.

She smirked as the man handed her a large manilla envelope. Whatever was in there, it was pretty big.

My eyes followed as she walked over in my direction. She sat the envelope on our island and sat across from me a the table. She leaned over and grabbed the collar of my nightgown.

I took in her figure. The woman in front of me I once called mom, I once said I loved her. But the woman in front if me wasn't her. She wasn't sweet, she wasn't pretty. She was a monster.

"Anything to say..... Jay" She spit in my face.

"I hope you burn in hell" I said through gritted teeth. I really should've kept my mouth shut. I thought I was going to die.......... I wish I would've died......

"YOU LITTLE BITCH" she yelled. And with she was over the table tackling me to the floor. Her knees pinned my arms to the ground as she sat on top of me. She slapped me hard. My head had so much momentum going to the right it cracked and as my head reconnected with the floor. I wasn't bleeding, but I couldn't see anything.

My legs seemed to have a mind of their own as to see I wasn't controlling them. They kicked furiously as she was on top of me. Everything was moving in slow motion.

She took turns slapping me with each hand. I remember seeinf my sister as the only clear thing. She was crying.  I didn't need her pity. I was worthless just like the woman on top of me said. I tried to sooth her and tell her everything will be alright.. Just as my father had said seconds before he died. But nothing came out.

The stranger pulled her off of me. "I NEED HER ALIVE, OR ELSE I TAKE MY MONEY BACK!" he yelled.

And with that she smoothed her blouse and regained her posture. She looked at the bloody mess she created and smirked like the devil she was.

"She's all yours" was the last thing I heard from her, as she led my crying sister out of the room.

The last thing I remember was a cold harsh grip of my wrist and waist, and a dark figure hovering over me before I blacked out.
