The council men sat in their chairs and I my throne. Several squirmed and fidgeted. Alvaria and Mullur sat to my right, Muller was for once sober confirming the seriousness of this gathering.
"My King. We have asked your presence today to er... Better understand what is happeneing." One of the human councilmen stepped up to speak. He was small and younger than the rest. A sacrifice on their behalf.
"I will say this once... To all of you.." I stood making my presence greater, more powerful thn anyone in the room. The weak shivered in seats.
"I am the king now. Of all kingdoms. We will unite in peace. I have no hesitancy in my actions or my decisions. I have married Aura, the human woman, daughter of Shall, she in now standing queen. If any of you have a problem with my reign as king..."
I clenched my jaw and flicked my eyes. Signal that I was ready for hostility.
"You can step to me and be debowled infront of the councilmen and people. If you have nothing more to add please prepare for my wedding celebration this night.
Alvaria rose bowing to me and then turned to the council.
"You have heard your King. The celebration for his and her highness will be held tonight. You are to be in attendance. If not you will deal with me, the head of the kings guards." She was even more fearsome when she was having fun. She smiled at them and they all scattered from the hall my uncle was one of the last to leave.
He slithered towards me with that fake grin.
"My king... How exactly did youarry our...queen?" He hissed her title. I'll kill him.
"The eternal flame." I kept my still.
His face broke. His demeamer shattered. His smile faltered. His fire started to burn.
All that was left in the room was Alvaria, Muller, My Uncle, and I. It was time.
I held out my hand to hold Alvaria and Muller back from attacking. Their loyalty and faithfulness was all I could ever ask for in my men. I smiled. He was mine. They stood back.
His play started to unravel. His skin started to smoke. He was furious.
"WHAT? YOU MARRIED A HUMAN AND BEYRAYED OUR RACE INFRONT OF OUR MAKER?" He took a step foward. It shook the room.
"Our maker loved a elven woman. He married her there. Why not I? Why not the generations of dragons before me?" I said calmly. My vision had already changed. The calmer I was the easier I could control my powers. He would not win, no matter how old or how powerful, I would take his head.
He roared. It rang through the halls. Amina ran to her fathers aid. She appeared at his side instantly.
"Father no! Our plan is much bigger than him. Don't. It isn't time." She grabbed his arm. He was moments from changing and I was moments from killing him.
What plan?
His wings broke his form and he became massive. He was green with red eyes and a horned head. He wasn't a Dracon, he was lowly. I shifted forward.
He spread his wings grabbing Aminas small human body and broke through the doors.
He was fleeing.
I growled.
"COWARD!!!" I was mad now. I sprinted forward to chase. Alvaria and Muller right behind me. I barked to muller to go make sure he had not harmed Aura. I told Alvaria to gather the guard and knights. It was time for war.
I lost sight as the broke from the castle and into the sky. I needed to stay...it could be a trap.
It was time for war.
