Ch. 20: not the end

You wake up in a soft bed, under a fluffy blanket. "Mornin' Y/N! How do you feel?" Ellen yells as she walks into your room. She was wearing a pretty short white dress that looked like the one she was wearing on christmas eve (from the bonus chapter :) ). "I'm feeling quite good! I just feel a bit light in my head..." you said. "That's just one of the effects this place has on you. It seems to be some sorta heaven-ish place, but we're not dead. We're gonna go back to Mark's home in a few days! This time without demons, thank god" Ellen laughed. "I'm so proud of you... We all had each other to fight the demons, but you had to fight yours all by yourself! Do you know how incredible that is?" she then smiled at you. "You're a strong person, Y/N..." Mark said as he walked in the room. You smiled at him. You did it. You fought a demon! Although you didn't remember anything of it, you still did it! Mark walked towards you. "Hey, uhm, Y/N... Would you maybe, uh... We've just gone through a lot together in a short time, and uh... Would you, uh..." he stutters. "C'mon Mark! Ask her!" Sean yelled as he walked in. "Would you like to go out with me? I mean, it's okay if you don't want to, but, eh..." Mark said. You get up from the bed and walk to him. "I'd love to" you say, blushing a bit. Mark smiles happily at you. "C'mon you two, breakfast is ready!" Felix yelled to make the group complete. "Yay, food!" Ellen yelled randomly. "The only love ya will ever get in life!" Sean teased her. Ellen frowned at him. "Shut up green haired potato!" She yelled. Some more, very rude (nope, mostly just funny) insults followed, making it, let's just say, a hilarious conversation.

After breakfast Ellen and Mark showed you around the house. You hadn't had a chance to do that the day before because you had to go to bed immediatly. The house, which hadn't looked that big from outside, turned out to be more like a mansion. It had multiple bedrooms, a huge pool, and even stables with lots of animals. Felix and Sean had stayed in the living room. After the tour you, Mark and Ellen decided to hang out with the others. You played some games, including Mario Kart Wii, which Ellen won all the time (I'm the mario kart queen bitch), Five Nights at Freddy's, and more. After playing the games, you headed to your room. As you walked past the front door you noticed something: there was a figure standing at the top of the stairs. It wasn't even a person, really. It was more like a shadow, yet it was moving on it's own. You back away slowly, not sure if the thing had seen you. You walk to the living room, where Mark just had defeated the others in a Just Dance battle. "Hey guys? You might wanna see this..." you say quietly. "What is it Y/N?" Felix asks. "There's a thing standing at the top of the stairs. Come, I'll show you" you say. You walk back to the front door and point to the top of the stairs where the figure had been standing. "Uh, Y/N? There's nothing there..." Mark said, clearly worried about you. The others stared at you in disbelief, but when you looked again, you still saw the figure. "It's right there!" You say. Mark looked again. "Sorry Y/N, I think you should rest a bit..." he said. "B-But it's there?!" You say, not knowing why they couldn't see it. "Go to bed Y/N, it's for the best" Sean said. You didn't want to go there of course: the thing was still on the stairs. Mark and the others walked back to the living room to continue the game battle. You look back at the stairs. The figure was gone.
