Ch. 33: the final act [pt. 2]

You and Sean wander through the labyrinth, looking for clues where the others might be. You couldn't find more of the tiny ponds that should show you where to go. After a while Sean falls down. "S-Sean? Are you okay?" You ask him. "Urgh... I-I'm fine..." he says as you kneel beside him. "No, you're not... Did Dark hurt you when he put you here?" You ask. "Dark? HE's behind this?" Sean responds in surprise. "You- you didn't know that?" You ask him again. "Nope...  All I remember is falling asleep and waking up in that room, arms and legs tied and the roof slowly coming closer..." he tells you. "Maybe you're just really tired... For how long have you been sitting there?" "At least one day..." "Sean! You must be starving!"

You and Sean take a rest. You feel kinda panicked: the others are still out there and there's limited time. You take something out of your pocket. You had forgotten about it since you had been in the dream world things, but this small packet of winegums had been with you all the time. You give them to Sean: he clearly needed it. You stayed there for a couple of hours and just when you were about to drift off to sleep, you could hear a weird noise. You help Sean get up, and start following the noise. It sounded like... A chainsaw? You follow the noise, with it getting louder each step you take. You look around the corner of the hedge, this was it. There was nothing to be seen, except for a huge rock. The sound appeared to be coming from underneath it. You and Sean use all the power you have to lift the rock, and it slowly worked. After a few minutes you had pushed the rock to the side, and a big hole in the ground had appeared. And there were stairs in it.

You and Sean walk down the stairs, with the sound becoming louder. After a while you arrive in a big room, it looked like a laboratory. And now you didn't only hear the noise from before, but also the noise of someone screaming. It was Felix. You and Sean run towards the screams in the next room, hoping Felix hadn't gotten cut in half yet. Thankfully, he hadn't. "Y-Y/N? Sean? What are you doing here? Get out, the professor might come back any moment!" He starts yelling. "Who's the professor?" You ask him. "I am!" You hear from behind you. "Hello dear! You two are just in time to witness my new experiment!" The Professor says. He was a bald man, not that old, and had a tiny beard. He was wearing laboratory glasses and a lab coat, and shoes that looked exactly like the ones Felix should be wearing right now. You look at Felix. He was only wearing his underwear, and he looked terrified. 'Looks like this is Scare PewDiePie irl...' you think. "W-what are you going to do to him?" You ask the Professor. "Just the biggest experiment in the history of science!" He says, walking towards a big machine. "This, is the Gluer. I am going to cut off Felix's limbs, one by one, and the Gluer will stick them together again! And except for the burns, open wounds and leftover scars, it's harmless!" The Professor says. Okay. He's crazy. You whisper to Sean: "We need to get Felix outta here!"

"Uhm, Professor, do you maybe have something to drink around here? I'm thirsty..." you ask him, not only as a distraction, but also because you were really thirsty. Funny how things work out sometimes. "Oh, yes, sure! I'll go get you some, don't touch the equipment!" The Professor says. Well, that was easier than expected. As he walks out, you walk towards Felix. "Smart thinking, Y/N. Now get me out..." Felix says, looking like he was really almost going to cry. With a few clicks and snaps Felix is free of the equipment he had been locked onto: the locks were so old, they'd gotten loose immediatly. You and the guys run for the stairs and climb up. Then the Professor came back. "Wait! Don't go! My experiment!" He yells. And with that, you breathe in the fresh air again: time to find Ellen and Mark.
