Ch. 53: New companions

You stare at Loryn.
Your friends.
Zombies?
"Isn't there a way to restore them to the state they were before they died?" You ask. "Well, there is a way... but it's way too dangerous. Full of traps and monsters. If you really want it we can go, but it'll be hard." Loryn says. "I don't care. I need to see them again." You say, to which Loryn nods.
"We need to go to the Flame. As Jonathan has probably told you, it's the most powerful source of magic around here. It can restore your friends, but the way there is full of danger. First off there are the Tumble Woods, also known as the Woods of Madness. Inhabited by monsters of all kinds. We can go through it towards the Woodland Castle, where my brother Thoran lives. He'll help us from there." Loryn says. "Come on, we've got to get ready for the journey." She adds before walking inside the nearest elf home.

Loryn had showed you the way to your room. It was quite big, with a little bit of furniture, like a huge bed and a bedside table. Aside from that there was a huge white wardrobe that had been decorated with shiny silver and golden flowers, like all the furniture in the room. Outside of the room was a balcony hanging above the huge waterfall streaming into the canyon below. Long story short, the place was gorgeous.
That evening you, Loryn, and Jonathan were heading to the Emerald Palace. It was a huge white castle decorated with, you guessed it, emeralds, and countless other beautiful gems and crystals in the middle of te elf village. "Y/N, you are about to meet my parents, King Myrin and Queen Thyriel. They will choose our companions for the journey." Loryn said. 'That explains the shiny tiara...' you thought.
When you entered the palace you didn't have much time to admire the beautiful decorations, as you were escorted to a different room. A small platform, built on the top of the huge rocks, with tiny waterfalls streaming from underneath it, right into the deep canyon. The platform had pillars holding up beautiful tiny bushes with flowers, built in a circle right at the edge. In the middle was a huge table, filled with the most delicious looking food, with all kinds of people sitting on all sides. At the entrance of the platform were two elves, both wearing shiny crowns. "Hello Y/N, we've been expecting you." The woman, of who you suspected was Queen Thyriel, says. "Come and join us for dinner as we discuss your journey." Her husband, King Myrin adds. You follow them to the table, sitting next to Jonathan.

After enjoying the incredible food for what should have lasted longer, the King and Queen stood up, asking for everyone's attention. All the people at the table looked up at the two royal elves.
"We are gathered here tonight to discuss the journey to the Flame. My daughter and her friends will travel across the island and take the flame, to save the lives of a few innocent people, who died too young and who's purpose has not yet been forfilled. The journey will mean dealing with monsters, and survival in a surreal world. We need a few volunteers to go with Loryn, Jonathan, and Y/N." The Queen spoke softly, looking around the platform. "Whoever wants to volunteer can step forward right now."
The first person to step forward was a tall, blonde elf. His hair, unlike most elves, was short and curly. He was wearing a dark blue elf suit with tiny gems on it, representing stars, and had icy blue eyes. Around his shoulder was a bow and an arrow bag. Loryn whispered in your ear. "That's Jupiter. Good with bow and arrow, a rebel, and a real jokester."
The next person stepped up after Jupiter had walked over to you, Loryn and Jonathan. He was shorter than the elves, had short, dark brown hair with some black through it, and bright brown eyes. He had a sword stuck in one of those special belts and was wearing a white suit. "That's Charlie, he's human like you and Jonathan's nephew. Good with a sword, but quite a dreamer." Loryn whispered. One more person stepped forward. She wasn't an elf, but not completely human either. She had wolf ears and a long, brown, fluffy tail. Her black dress barely reached her knees, and her brown hair that was tied up in a ponytail, had some purple strokes in it. "That's Rebecca, a werewolf. Sharp teeth and claws, perfect for surprise attacks and defense." Loryn whispered.
The King and Queen nodded at each
other.

"It's been decided. The Companionship will go on a journey to find the Flame and save those who should live."

Oh damn so much inspiration going through my head! I've got so many ideas :3 also yaay extra long chapter
