Ch. 26: stuck in a nightmare

You were at the point of becoming unconsious as two strong arms pulled you through the water. The chains seemed to have let go of you. You try to open your eyes to see who was holding you, but you couldn't bring up the strength as you were also trying not to die. Your wet clothes, tired body, and fear, made the difference: your mind got blank.

"You okay Y/N? You faded out for a second there..." that voice. The one you feared you'd never hear again. It was Mark. You open your eyes, suddenly realizing you were still alive. Right? Mark smiled his adorable smile at you. "Thank god... I thought I'd never see you again..." he said. Tears got in your eyes. "M-Mark..." you mumble. You look him in his beautiful brow- wait a sec. His eyes were red. You back away from him, slowly. "Y/N? It's me, Mark."
No. "D-Dark, I know it's you." You say, scared, and feeling more alone then ever. Dark groaned. "Grr... I should have known... I'm just as great as him, you know! Even greater! Does Mark have the power to control dreams? No! I can make all of these horrors dissappear and you'll be mine! Forever!" Dark yells. "No Dark. I'm tired of all of this. I wanna be with Mark..." you say, showing more confidence than you actually had. "HOW DARE YOU. Oh well, I guess I'll just let you be stuck in this nightmare forever then. You still get to choose between worlds, but if you want the other one you have to leave this place forever. Which means killing yourself. So, what is it gonna be Y/N? This living nightmare with me, or the living dream without either me or Mark?" You get scared at his words. 'Without either me or Mark'? What's that supposed to mean? "What do you mean, without Mark..." you ask. "I mean, he isn't there. He's in a different place.
