Ch. 28: The journey continues

The Nightmare Realm
The sound of footsteps and the wind fill the silence in the dark landscape. You knew you were outside, but there was no sun, all the plants were dead, and the sky dark grey. Where could Mark be? He was obviously not in te old house. You had looked around before and except for the corpses there was nobody (see what I did there) to be found. Then there was a sudden sound. The call of a crow flying up behind you scared the shit out of you. You turn around, your arms in front of your face ready to hit the next thing to appear right in front of your face. Now you saw why the crow flew away: the friendly face of an old friend made it all clear.

The Dreamscape
You walk through the bright landscape. Other then the times you had been here before, the others were nowhere to be seen. You look at the trees, wondering where you actually are. Nothing looked familiar. Not that it looked familiar before, but you had gotten used to the weird looking land with it's musical animals and beautiful colours. Now it was... Quiet. No birds, no people, even the plants were still, like a statue. You look around, then noticing a note, stuck to a tree. You walk towards it. Who put that here?

'Tick, tock, tick, tock'

That's what the letter said. But what in the world could it mean?

Sorry for the short chapter and the long time it took me to write ;-; I had no inpiration and school is killing me :') but now there's a holiday coming up, which means I have a lot of time to write! Yay!
