Ch. 29: myths and mysteries

The Nightmare Realm
The face in front of you spoke a thousand words. His calming eyes, his tender smile, his floofy hair, it filled you with happiness. It was Mark's face. But only his face. It was all you could see. You had been staring at it all that time, afraid that if you would close your eyes, the image of Mark would disappear. Unfortunately, your eyes did not agree, and you had to blink eventually. The image started to fade, but didn't leave entirely. It appeared to be moving away from you, through the thick fog that had slowly appeared. You follow the vision, scared, but it might bring you to Mark. "Y/N, over here..." a voice said behind you. It was Sean's voice. You turn around, but there's no one there. The fog had become so thick, you couldn't see more then a few meters away from you. The vision had disappeared. You look around, but no matter where you looked, the fog was everywhere, and you were all alone. And when you realized that, you fell to the ground. The fear, loneliness, and the pain had become to much. You close your eyes, and cry...

The Dreamscape
Tick, tock, tick, tock...

The words repeated in your mind, making you dizzy.

Tick, tock, tick, tock...

It was going to drive you crazy.

Tick, tock, tick, tock...

You walk around, no clue about what was going on. How were you ever going to find Mark? What did the letter mean? Why did all of this happen in the first place? You walk towards a small pond. The water in it was the clearest you had ever seen. You were thirsty, you needed to drink. In the pond swam tiny fish with beautiful colors. As you took a sip, the water in the pond started moving. In the middle an image became clear. It looked like Mark, but he seemed to be asleep. Or dead. It looked like he was stuck in the middle of four walls made of plants. There wasn't any openings, and Mark just sat there against a big rock in the middle. There was a small pond there too, which looked very much like the one you were staring in. Then the image faded. You took another sip, hoping the image would come back. Instead a different image appeared. The words you were starting to fear.
'Tick, tock, tick, tock...'
