Ch. 66: Part 100 special!

I had no ideas for a chapter name and I got out 100 parts even tho only 66 of those are actual chapters. The fact that I published 34 non-chapters is concerning :')

"Okay... but how do we get back? I still need to save my friends and you..."
"Am I not your friend?"
"Shut up, you know perfectly well what I mean."
Dark smirked for a moment. "Well, the only way to get back would be waking ourselves up in the real world. All you have to do is accept this isn't real."
"But it feels so real. How am I supposed to convince myself?"
"Well, you know that headache right?"
"Yep?"
"And we didn't intentionally travel here, did we?"
"Nope"
"Then someone, or something, made us unconscious. And I know only one creature that can do that and cause dimensional travel."
"...and?"
"And if it's really that thing causing us to be here, we're most likely going to die any minute."

You looked at him in shock. Not just because you were going to die, but also because of how clever/smart he was turning out to be. Then again, he was going to be an engineer.

"I know this isn't real. I accept it isn't real. Now it's your turn." Dark said before disappearing, leaving you alone.

Well, thanks a lot mate.

You groan. What now?
"I accept this isn't real."
Nothing.
"I know this place isn't real, so take me back!" You yell, getting frightened.
Nothing.
You heard someone call out your name as the headache became overwhelming.
You clutch your chest as you fall to the ground in pain...

You open your eyes as you're laying on a stone cold floor. "Y/N! I'm so glad you're awake!" You heard a familiar voice say. It wasn't Dark or Mark, or any of the old squad members, though. It was the voice of Loryn.
"Thank god! We thought we'd lost you..."
"What happened?", you ask.
"You got attacked by a dreamkeeper. Creatures that suck out your organs, starting with the brain, whilst keeping their victims in a dreamstate. You can't take them away once they attack someone, but yours just... disappeared somehow..."
"So... how did Dark get out?"
"It was a dream, Y/N. Dark wasn't there."
"B-but he held my hand, he comforted me..."
"Look, I know it seemed real, but Dark is still somewhere on Las Islas de Los Muertos. Just like your other friends."
You felt tears coming up. "Why me? Why am I always the one that has to lose her friends or is stuck in a nightmare or some weird fairytale?! Why can't I just live my life, with my family and friends, and be happy?!"
You cried. And cried. And cried more. You didn't want it anymore. Everything had become a goddamn nightmare, and you wanted it to end. Fright and confusion were your only emotions.

All of a sudden Thoran walked in. "Y/N? I have good news and bad news."
You looked up at him, hopefully.
"What?"
"The good news is, I know where the Flame is. Bad news: it's on Las Islas de Los Muertos."

Whoa. More random shit because I need to stretch out the length of this book. Yeah.
But okay I feel like the storyline is getting back on track a bit?
I was getting confused of my own writing 👌🏻
Great.
