A goth girl smiled at Alex.
"Caligo," the girl chanted.
A dark fog scattered across the room.
I summoned my wand.
It was a gift from my father.
"Disperse!" I yelled.
The darkness around us dissipated.
"Tsk. They got a dark mage too," the martial mage said.
Elliot and her were stuck in a fight of blows.
"Duro Pugno!"
The golden aura concentrated around Elliot's fists.
The girl held both arms up high but she was still sent flying.
She let out a scream as she hit the wall.
Elliot smiled.
"Sorry but I'll be taking your magic."
The girl's eyes grew watery as Elliot touched her forehead.
"Magia Acipere!"
Orange-red prana flew out of the girl and into Elliot's body.
Elliot smiled. "Good, you're still a mage."
Still a mage?
Then the girl must've had two elements.
In this world, mages with more than one element were rare.
Several people turned toward Elliot and the girl.
Elliot raised his arms in front of him.
"Silly boy, trying to play hero," Alex said as he held off the dark mage.
"I'll handle her!" I yelled. "Go and help your friend out."
Alex snickered. "That idiot isn't my friend."
He warped over to Elliot.
I turned my attention to my opponent.
"Give me your magic and you'll walk off unharmed," I said, gathering the shadows into a black sphere.
