I pushed myself up from the ground.
"Thanks, Cait. I appreciate your attempt to cheer me up but I rather be alone right now."
Cait lowered his head, looking down at the forest below. "Sorry, I shouldn't have been so pushy. Though do be careful. The tanibus pack has been spotted roaming nearby. Their leader showed an interest in you last time."
I stared at my arm. Was it because of my power that he did so?
I sighed, perhaps it would've been best if I had given it up to Thalia. It would've saved me a lot of trouble... Though that would only have burdened Thalia more. And who knew, perhaps my uncle would've obtain the power himself. Who knew what he would've done with it...
