Elliot embraced me tightly,
Lifting me into the air.
"You two look like a couple," Thalia remarked.
My face reddened.
As did Elliot's.
"We're just friends," Elliot said. "Besides, there's someone I like."
"Who?" Isabelle asked.
He chuckled. "Just kidding. I don't have anyone. Nor have I ever had such a person."
Really? Even I had someone I liked.
"Unlike my sister who is head over heels for some guy she only met a few times."
"You mean the priestess has someone like that?" Isabelle asked.
"She might be a pristess, but she's still a young girl," I pointed out.
Elliot looked down. "True."
His eyes shone with the same sadness as the other day.
I nudged him forward.
"Let's go locate three more of those marbles."
He grinned.
"Alright."
"You sure that there's nothing between you?" Thalia asked.
"Nothing at all!" the two of us screamed.
"That's hard to imagine," Ryan said.
The two of us stomped off.
"Can you believe those two?"
Elliot glanced back.
"Say, do you think I'll ever find someone who likes me?"
