I wished that I could've done something to help out Olivia, but I knew there was little I could do or say to console her at a time like this. She had put all of her hopes on that device that Caitlin mentioned. Yet, it turned out to be broken and thus so did her dreams shatter.
If only I could've stopped my father... It was his fault that our home was destroyed. I placed a hand on my chest. I was the only one who could stop his ambitions, sadly that meant having to kill the one I love... and I wasn't going to play into the hands of such a cruel fate. But did that fate even have purpose now? Now that my father was defeated? Olivia would never turn into what he wanted. At least not willingly. I had to keep her safe, even if it was to be from afar.
