Two Weeks Later

The past 2 weeks have been awesome. Ever since the movie, Lauren, Jacob, Gabe and I all sit at the same lunch table. Last weekend we all went to the mall, and Gabe bought me a bunch of stuff. I kept telling him that I could pay, but he insisted that he pay for me. He is such a sweet guy.
It is Friday, and me and Gabe are going on a "date". We are just friends, and I want to be something more, but I don't know if he does. We are going to Get Air, which is a trampoline park. My mom knows I am going with him, and his mom talked to my mom earlier today.
It is 6:00 PM, and him and his mom are going to pick me up at 6:15 so we can be at Get Air by 6:30. We want do a two-hour session, so we would be there from 6:30 to 8:30.

We got to Get Air, and Gabe's mom had to fill out a waiver saying that if we got hurt, it wouldn't be their fault. When she was done, he pulled out a 50 dollar bill from his back pocket and paid for us. It shocked me because I didn't think he would have that much money on him, especially since he bought me a lot at the mall the prior weekend.
After we paid and got our trampoline socks, Gabe's mom left to go shopping and get groceries. Him and I went to the big trampolines for about 20 minutes, then we went to the foam pits.
There were 3 foam pits: 2 normal ones with a trampoline right in front of them, and one with a trampoline and then a 7 foot drop-off into it.
We were walking to the pits, and a little before we got there, Gabe ran in front of me and front-flipped off of a trampoline into one of them.
I ran after him but by the time I got there he was already out of the pit. I eventually walked up to him, laughed, and nudged him on the shoulder. Then, I walked past him, walking onto the trampoline. I was about to jump into the foam pit when Gabe pushed my in it. I fell right onto the foam, sinking in a little bit.
I got out of the foam, and as I got back on the floor, I ran to Gabe, and he started running away from me. I chased him to the other side of the park, and once I caught up to him, I jumped on his back. Surprisingly, he caught me. Then he ran back to the foam pits with me still on his back.
One of the workers was standing by the trampoline with the drop-off foam pit. Gabe set me down, and we both stood in front of the pit.
"We should jump in it together," Gabe whispered.
"There is a worker there, so we would get in trouble," I replied.
"Oh, come on, let's just do it!" He exclaimed, still whispering.
"If he sees us jump in together, we might get kicked out!" I explained to him.
"I have an idea!" Gabe said.
"Oh no..." I mumbled.

Gabe walked over to the worker, me following him, and tapped on his shoulder since we were standing behind him. The worker turned around, and Gabe pushed him into one of the normal pits, then he jumped into the drop-off pit.
"Come on! Jump in!" He shouted from in the foam.
"Oh, alright!" I shouted back. I quickly jumped in.
"We need to get out of here and run to the obstacle course so the worker can't find us!" He said.
"Okay, let's go!" I replied.
We got out of the pit, and ran to the other side of the park to the obstacle course. Once we got there, we hid behind a pole that held up some monkey bars and looked back at the foam pits. We saw the worker climbing out of the pit, being laughed at by a bunch of kids. It was hilarious. Once he got out of the pit, he looked around everywhere for us, but didn't find us. That was a close one, though.

The rest of the time, Gabe and I did the obstacle course a few times, played dodgeball, got snacks, and went back to the trampolines until 8:30. His mom got there a little early, but she waited in the car until we were done.

We put our shoes on and got in the car. Gabe and I sat in the back, and I sat in the middle, and he sat in the left seat. I was exhausted, so I rested my head on his shoulder. My hands were at my side, and he grabbed my left hand with his right hand. I smiled, still resting my head on his shoulder.
We got to my house, and he walked me to my front door.
"You had fun, right?" He asked as we got to the door.
"Yeah, it was a lot of fun!" I replied.
"Good, because I had fun too. Are you busy tomorrow?" He asked.
"No, I'm free. Want to do something?" I answered.
"Yeah, I'll text you tomorrow and see what we can do," Gabe explained.
"Sounds good," I replied.
We hugged, then looked into each other's eyes. Our head's were moving closer and closer to each other, and then our lips touched.
"Goodnight Gabe," I said to him as I opened the door.

"Goodnight... wait! I have to ask you one more thing!" Gabe exclaimed.
"Okay, what is it?" I said, turning around with one foot in my house and the other on the front porch.
"Will you go out with me?" He asked.

My heart stopped. Then, it started racing. Faster and faster.

"Yes! Of course!" I said, hugging him again.
"Okay, well, I'll see you tomorrow!" Gabe said.
"See ya," I said as I walked into my house and shut the door behind me.

     What a night.
