Happy Birthday!

3 Months Later (October 2nd)

It is 7:30 AM, and it is Jacob's 19th birthday! He was still asleep, but I woke up at 7, ate breakfast, and then I woke Jacob up.
"Happy birthday Jacob!" I shouted as I jumped up and down on the bed.
"Yay, I'm another year older. Yippee!" He mumbled.
"Oh come on Jacob! You're 19 today! Now get up!" I whined while trying to pull him off the bed.
"I'm the birthday boy, and what I want is more sleep!" He said in his raspy, morning voice.
"No, you need to get up. You have to go to the studio in an hour to work on your new song, and I have a surprise for you later!" I told him.
"Alright, alright!" He moaned, crawling out of bed and walking out of the room.
"Thank you," I mumbled under my breath.
"You're welcome!" He shouted from in the kitchen, causing me to giggle.

I can never stay mad at him.

*Ring* *ring*
"Hello?" I asked into my phone.
"Hey, it's Chloe!" I heard through the phone.
"Oh, hey Chloe! So when should I come over?" I asked.
"Around 3 if that's okay!" She told me.
"That's good! See ya then!" I said.
"Alright, Bye!" She replied.

      Oh my gosh. I haven't talked about Chloe in a long time! Well, she's a junior in high school, and she can drive now. Her and Brandon are still together, but it's not surprising because I know that they really love each other. Anyways, I am going over to her and my mom's house at 3 today to set up a surprise party for Jacob. I would have the party in my apartment, but there will be a lot of people, so we would need a big house like Chloe and my mom's house.

    So it's 1 PM and Jacob is still in town. He was at the studio from 9 AM to 12 PM, then he went to the grocery store. He should be home any minute. Once he gets home, I'm gonna tell him that I want to visit my mom for a little bit, and I'll tell him that he can't go. If he asks why then I'll think of something. Once I get to my mom's house, Chloe and I will decorate the house, and at 5 PM, people should start arriving. Once everyone gets there, I'll text Jacob and tell him to come. When he knocks on the door, everyone will hide, then I'll say "come in!". When he walks in everyone will shout "happy birthday!".
     That's the plan. Hopefully it all goes well.

"He's here!" Chloe whispered.
"Okay, everybody get down and hide!" I whisper-yelled.
*Knock* *Knock*
"Come in!" I shouted.
"Hey Sier-" Jacob started to say.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Everyone got up and exclaimed, interrupting him.
"Wow guys, I didn't see this coming!" He laughed.
"We did it just for you," I walked over to him and kissed him on the cheek.
"Well thank you," he hugged me.
"You're welcome," I smiled.
"What are we doing just standing around? Let's party!" Chloe exclaimed causing everyone to cheer.

     The house looked amazing. There was a huge banner hanging in the family room that said "Happy Birthday!" and there were balloons everywhere; some filled with air and some filled with helium. There was also a bunch of different colored ribbon hanging all over the house. In the kitchen was a bunch of party food like chips, cookies, some vegetables with ranch dressing, and candy. On the kitchen counter was also a bunch of soda: Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Dr. Pepper, and Sprite. Next to the pop were red solo cups.
     After Jacob came in, him and I walked into the kitchen to get drinks. He got Pepsi and I got Dr. Pepper. Chloe started playing music that could be heard all around the house through our huge speakers in the family room. The song that played first was "Starboy" by The Weeknd. Once we got our drinks we went to the family room where almost everyone was. Him and I split, walking around to different people and saying hello. Some of our old middle school and high school friends were there, so of course we both talked to all of them for a little bit.

"That party was really awesome Sierra! I appreciate you doing that for me and I'm sorry I didn't really care about my birthday earlier," Jacob told me as we got in the car. The party had just ended and it was 9 PM.
"It's fine Jacob, and it was so worth throwing a party for you! We both got to see our old friends and our families!" I said after buckling my seatbelt.
"Yeah, tonight was really fun!" He exclaimed, driving off and turning on the radio.
"I am exhausted though," I yawned.
"Yeah me too, and I'm probably gonna crash when we get home," Jacob admitted.
"Me too," I agreed.

     When we got back to the apartment, we went to the bedroom and fell right asleep, just like Jacob said. We were too tired to doing anything, but just his presence makes my life a lot better.
