I Don't Know

One Hour Later

*Ding* *Dong*

That was the doorbell. Me and Jacob had ordered a medium pepperoni pizza after we played a round of Sorry. Jacob answered the door and handed the delivery guy $20.

"Pizzzzzzzaaaaaa!" Jacob exclaimed echoing through the house.
"Yaaassss!" I shouted back.

Jacob ran to the kitchen and set the pizza on the counter. I opened the cardboard lid, smelling the wonderful taste of cheese and pepperoni. Jacob grabbed two plates and handed me one. I grabbed two pieces of pizza and walked to the kitchen table followed by Jacob, who had 3 pieces of pizza.

"Mmmm," Jacob hummed, "this is so good!"
"I know right!" I agreed.
"Wait... it's like 9 AM, why did we get pizza?!" Jacob said.
"Haha I don't know but it is delicious!" I replied.

     We finished our pieces of pizza, leaving 3 left for later.

"So what's do you want to do now?" Jacob asked.
"I want to do something outside, but I don't know what," I replied.
"We could skate on my penny boards?" He suggested.
"That sounds fun, but I don't know how to skate," I answered.
"Don't worry," he said, "it's easy once you get the hang of it."
"Oh alright," I sighed, "but if I fall-"
"If you fall, I will catch you," he interrupted.
"Okay..." I said sarcastically.
"Come on, let's get my boards from the garage."
"Okay."
    
     Jacob had like 5 penny boards, but he grabbed a pink one and a black one. He handed me the pink one as he got on his board and skated away.

"Hey, wait for me!" I shouted as he was already out of the driveway.
"I'm coming back haha!" He exclaimed.

"Okay. First, put your dominate foot, or your stronger foot on the board. It's usually your right foot if you are right handed," Jacob explained as he was teaching me how to ride the penny board.
"I'm right handed, so you're right it would be my right foot on the board," I said, putting my foot on the board.
"Alright, now push yourself forward with your other foot," Jacob said.
"Okay," I said, "but I'm scared haha."
"You're fine. I got you," Jacob said as he grabbed the top of my waist to hold me up.
     He was walking behind me as I was trying to stay on the board. After a few minutes of going up and down the driveway, he let go of me and I was doing it on my own!

"Hey, I'm doing it!" I exclaimed as I was going down the sidewalk.
"Yeah you are!" Jacob shouted back, "wait! Watch out for the-"
    Jacob stopped talking because he already saw me falling.
"Curb..." Jacob said as I was already on the ground.
"Ouch!" I shouted.
     Jacob ran to me. He was so worried about me, but I didn't think I was hurt that bad. I mean, there were no broken bones.
"Are you okay?" Jacob asked.
"I think so," I said as I was trying to stand, "yeah, never mind. My leg hurts really bad."
"It's your right leg isn't it," Jacob asked looking down at the big bruise on my leg.
"Yep," I answered.
"I'll help you stand," Jacob said, reaching his hand out to grab mine.
     He helped me up, and we slowly stumbled back to his house. Once we got inside Jacob sat me down on the couch and grabbed an ice pack out of the freezer.
"I'm really sorry Sierra," Jacob said sympathetically as he handed me the cold ice.
"It's not your fault," I answered, "I was the one who wasn't watching where I was going."
"But I should have been there to catch you, but I wasn't and I said I was going to!" Jacob exclaimed with his head facing the floor.
"Don't blame yourself, I am fine. It's just a little bruise," I told him.
     
     Jacob sat down next to me and he turned the TV on. We watched TV for about 10 minutes, and the whole time I noticed that Jacob was fidgeting his finger like he was nervous or something. Then, he turned down the volume and faced me.
"Sierra," he said quietly.
"What is it Jacob?" I asked him.
"I need to tell you something," he answered.
"Okay, go ahead," I replied.
"Ever since I first looked at you, I knew we had something. A connection. And every time I look at you, I can't help but look into your eyes and think to myself 'I am so lucky to have this girl in my life'. And when you are with someone else- like Gabe- I can't help but get so jealous. And now that you and him are broken up, I feel like this is the time I tell you. I know we haven't known each other for long, but I- I love you..."
"Wow Jacob, I didn't know you felt this way," I replied in utter shock, "I like you a lot too, but I don't know how I feel right now. I jut got out of a relationship and I just- I don't know."
"I understand, and I should have waited to tell you," Jacob said.
"No, it's okay," I told him as a grabbed his hand.
"I'm such an idiot," Jacob mumbled to himself looking away from me.
"No you are not," I said comfortingly, "You are really nice-"
"Sierra I can't take this anymore! You mean so much to me but I know that you don't feel the same way. I can't be your friend because it's too hard. I can't be next to you unless I am with you. I'm sorry," Jacob shouted as he stood up and walked into the kitchen.
"Jacob..."
