Apartments

One Month Later

     Well the past month has been really difficult and boring. All because of the crash. It's been difficult because it's hard to move around with crutches and it's boring because I am too lazy to go anywhere. Because of my crutches! But thank god I get my cast off in a week!
     Jacob is doing great! His ribs are already healed since the fractures weren't that bad and his head is better now, too.
     It's a Saturday in early July and Jacob and I are going into town to look at apartments! Yes, that's right! Jacob and I are going to move in together! We both sent in our college applications and essays before the crash and we just found out a few days ago that we both got into the colleges! But we aren't going to go to college yet until next year. We wanted to spend a year to ourselves so we don't rush to go to college right after high school.
     Anyway, it's 11 AM and I am waiting for Jacob to pick me up. After a few minutes of sitting on my bed he texted me and told me that he was here. I went down the stairs as fast as I could (stupid crutches) and opened the front door.
"Hey beautiful!" Jacob kissed my cheek.
"Hey Jakey!" I smiled.
"I'll take these," Jacob said as he grabbed my crutches from under me.
"Jacob what are you doing?" I stumbled trying to hold myself up with one leg.
"Hahah!" Jacob laughed as he picked me up bridal style and ran to the car.
"Jacob!! You are so weird!" I giggled as he set me in the passenger's seat.
"I know," Jacob smiled, "I'll be back. I gotta get your crutches."
"You are soMething else," I shouted as he ran back inside.
"Got em! Now lets go look for apartments!" He said as he got back in the car and drove off.

     We looked at four different apartments, and they were all about ten to fifteen minutes from our houses. They were all nice, but one really caught my eye. It was roomy with two bathrooms, a bedroom, a big kitchen and a nice family room. It was perfect! After we looked at the apartments we got pizza at Pizza Hut.
"So what apartment did you like the most?" I asked Jacob after the pizza got to our table.
"Hmm... that's hard. I liked the second one we saw," he said grabbing a piece of pizza.
"That's the one I liked the most, too!" I admitted.
"Do you think we should move in? I know it's a little bit of a rush but I can't wait to live with you any longer! We have the money and we have nothing better to do!" He told me.
"I mean if you say so," I smiled trying not to laugh.
"Are you sure? I don't want to force you to do this if you don't want to yet," he asked sympathetically.
I thought about this for a second. Then I realized how much I wanted to be with him. "Yeah. That's a good idea. We should just move in as soon as we can!"
"Are you serious? That sounded a little sarcastic," he laughed.
"No, I am serious!" I laughed shoving pizza in my mouth.

     After we ate we called the owner of the apartment and told him that we wanted to rent an apartment. He said that we could stop buy the building and pay for the first month and go ahead and move in! I thought it would be more complicated than that but it wasn't.
     So we went to the apartment, paid for the first month, then went to the furniture store to look at what we wanted for our new home.
