Chapter 44: Cody's

"I'm going to miss you this week. Dustin and Cody are lucking I trust them enough to take you out to their parents house." Jay said putting my suitcase in Cody's rental car.
"I'm going to be back in two days you can handle it. I will be fine trust me. I love you." I said.
"I love you to. Tell Virgil (Dusty) I said hi." He said.
"Okay." I said and he kissed me.
"Bye I love you, be safe." He said.
"Love you to. Bye." I said getting into the front seat of the car.
"So Brandi coming along for this trip?" I asked.
"Nope. She has things to do for her swimsuit line and she is training to be a WWE Diva." He said.
"And you trust you going with your ex?" I said.
"Yes, she trusts me. After all Jay is letting you go with you ex to." Cody said.
"Very true. Love is all about trust." I said.
"Yeah. So how is your sex life now days?" Cody asked turning on the radio.
"Codes!" I said.
"What?! I'm just curious." He said.
"It's just great. What about yours?" I said.
"Its okay. Being on the road all the time effects it. Our sex life was perfect. I think I must of got some every night." He said laughing.
"Cody!" I said playfully hitting him.
"We were young and active back then." He said.
"Codes we are still young." I said.
"And from what Jay says, your still active to." He said.
"So how is the WWE life treating ya?" He said.
"Great. I need to start getting back in the ring on the weekends though, I need to get back to my routine. I've had to much vacation time with Jay." I said.
"Yeah we could get in the ring down at dads. Dad would love to see you in the ring and to be honest I think we both need some pointers about how to make our matches better." I said.
"Your so very true." I said.
"I miss these days. You and I on the road together. Although I'm very happy with Brandi and I wouldn't take getting married to her back in a second." He said.
"Yeah. Maybe I could set up a travel plan so you and Dustin can travel with Jay and I." I said.
"That would be great." He said pulling up in Virgil's driveway.
"We're here." Cody said turning off the car. We got out of the car. I grabbed my bags and Cody grabbed his.
"Lets head in." He said.
"Okay." I said following Cody to the porch. Cody knocked on the door and walked in.
"Dad! We're here!" Cody yelled trying to find his dad.
"My sweet boy and his girl come home again." Virgil said coming from the kitchen into the living room.
"Dad she is not my girl anymore." Cody said.
"You should of put a ring on it." Dustin said smiling coming from behind his dad.
"Miranda how has life been treating ya?" Virgil asked.
"Fine. What about you?" I asked.
"Great now that you have came back home." Virgil said.
"Thanks Virgil. It does feel good to be back." I said.
"Miranda go ahead and go upstairs and put your stuff in the guest room. You know where it is still right?" Michelle, Virgil's wife asked.
"Yes. I do thank you." I said heading upstairs. I went into the guest room and set my stuff down. I looked and the picture by the bed, it was a picture of me and Cody kissing. I smiled at it.
"Nice to see nothings changed around here huh?" Cody said standing I the doorway.
"Yeah. I can't believe they keep this picture of us." I said.
"Me neither. They have tons of pictures of us around the house around here. Brandi gets mad at them to. She wants them to have at least one picture of us in the other guest bedroom we stay in. I try tellin dad to get some of our wedding photos in there but he says he likes to keep the good memories flowing." He said.
"Good ol Virgil huh." I said.
"Yep gotta love dad. Coming on done for dinner dad prepared all yours and my favorites." He said.
"Okay I will let me call Jay first then I will. Tell Virgil not to pray until I come done okay?" I asked.
"Okay." He said before heading downstairs.

"There you are. Ready to pray?" Virgil asked as I took a seat in between Dustin and Cody.
"Yep." I said.
"Okay. Put your heads down now." Virgil said. We all put our hands down and joined hands.
"Thank you father for this wonderful dinner. Thank you for bringing home Miranda. Please father lord watch other us as we sit here tonight and enjoy this fine food this my lovely wife has prepared. Amen." Virgil said and we started feeling our plates with food.
"Thanks Michelle." I said.
"Your welcome sweetie." She said.
"So what did Jay say?" Cody asked.
"That he missed me and that he hoped that I was having fun." I said.
"Oh." Cody said.

The rest of the night we spent around the fire outside and then we all went to bed. This week was going to be fun and I couldn't wait to get in the ring this week. I needed to come back home more often.
