Training took place that same day, and it proved to be tougher than before. Even poor Guardian was having a lot of trouble. They climbed higher, swam farther, dove lower, ran faster, pushed themselves so much that almost all of them had fainted the first day. Silencer was out for 2 days straight, her vital signs showing her body was giving her searing pain and she held so many bruises and cuts that they might as well have called her Training Dummy. Not even the others had that many.

Once, she'd snuck out of her room, leaving Guardian there, and knocked quietly on Fox's door. It was answered roughly 2 minutes later by a sleepy slime person.

"Can you help me train?" said Silencer, speaking slowly as if the other might not understand her.

"Didn't know you could talk.. Huh. Yeah, I guess I can, but aren't you supposed to be resting?" replied Fox.

The other rubbed her upper right arm nervously, looking to the floor and studying the intricate lines. She nodded after what seemed like hours. "But I don't want to rest, I want to get stronger. I want to be able to pass."

"Look, kid, you push yourself so much that rest of us feel bad for even getting in the water or touching the rock wall. You need to rest, that's how you'll get stronger."

She was about to protest when a lime green hand was raised to shush her, an annoyed expression on the other's face. "Don't. Just..don't. I'll help you just this once."

There was a smile on Silencer's face and she thanked her. With that, the two went off and into a room filled with rubber dummies on posts and a rock wall in the corner. There, Fox taught Silencer to stretch a certain way and conserve her breath, then took her to the rock wall. Their training lasted about an hour and a half before they headed back.

In the morning, procedural training commenced and the horned girl found it easier to go further without being so tired. She gave Fox a few glances and smiles whenever she could and Guardian could tell she was doing better. It made him happy.

The bond forming between all 3 of them was growing, and soon it would be a bond unable to be broken. Hope was being restored for them and anxiety was dwindling. Thoughts of failure were replaced with determination and courage. It was looking brighter for them.
