The jackalope kid was on the verge of passing out from the shift in gravity and how fast they'd left, Eyes and Historia the same way. Once they recovered a little, they looked around at the others.
"Is everyone okay?" Guardian asked.
Then there was a voice patching through.
"Turn back and return to Earth, you have 10 minutes."
The looked at each other. "We're not coming back."
"Turn back now or we'll be forced to gun you down."
"I said what I said and I meant it, okay?!"
Red lights blared in the ship and an annoying noise began playing. The kids either covered their ears or ignored it. They stopped as a bleeping came from a little monitor. Objects in the shape of odd triangles kept disappearing and reappearing, coming closer to the center dot.
"We're being followed " Fox announced.
Two kids, Vines and Eyes, took hold of the piloting handles and tried to switch from automatic to manual flying. It took a couple of tries, but they got it. They pushed the handles forward and the ship began picking up speed.
"TRAPPEL-1, commence docking sequence," a voice patched in again.
They ignored it and kept speeding up, maneuvering around small asteroids. There were bigger chunks coming into view and they began to slow a little to get around them.
"TRAPPEL-1, I repeat, commence docking sequence now."
"Go away!" Fox yelled through the transmitter, agitated beyond belief. She growled to herself and tried to cool off.
"Hold on tight, things might get bumpy. And we've never done this before…" Eyes said with an innocent grin.
He began doing rolls, veering to one side or the other, and trying to lose the ships. They sped towards a large boulder.
"Pull up, pull up!" they screamed.
"I know what I'm doing."
They got barely a few feet away before launched up. There was a loud explosion behind them, signalling one of the two ships had crashed. The other took off and patched through again.
"Turn back and dock, now! Don't make me fire!"
Fox wore a big grin, "do it, jerk. We might die anyways."
"Fine. Have it your way," he said and slowed down to get behind the spaceship.
Eyes gave Vines a look before nodding. They both pulled up and the ship did a back flip so that it now piloted behind the guy. He steered his ship to the side to try and get around them, blinded by anger, and ran straight into an asteroid.
They put it back on manual and began heading for TRAPPEL-1 again.
"There will be more," Historia warned, "and they won't be as easy to lose."
