"Was that a good idea?" asked the boy covered in vines.

"Silencer is dangerous, we can't have her freak out one day and kill one of us." Eyes.

"But they're out there on their own, just the four of them. We're safer here than out there; shouldn't they have that too?"

"Yes, but we can't risk it. We can't sacrifice the safety of our group for one person, even if she is our friend."

Fox stood aside, conflicted, while Squid was still trying to figure out what went wrong. She didn't upset them, did she?

"Its not fair, though-"

Eyes doubled over just then, falling to the floor while holding his stomach. He bit his tongue to keep from screaming. Fox leaped over and skid beside him, a hand on one shoulder.

"You can get through it… Squid, do you have medicine or something?"

She shook her head and walked closer, her sclera eyes wandering over the injured boy.

Fox bit her lip while Vines came over to try and comfort Eyes as well. Silencer might've been able to help had she still been there.

Meanwhile, with the other four, Jack kept complaining.

"My feet hurt. Do we have to? I don't like her!" Etc., etc.

At least he was until Historia scolded him, making him go quiet. They walked back to their old shelter. From there, they tried to rebuild at least something to hold overnight. There wasn't a whole lot left to rebuild with. They scrapped that idea and took down the shelter. It took a few hours and breaks, but they got it. They set all the materials in piles and had to find sturdy plants to tie them together.

Vines would be useful right about now. They made do and hauled things to the cave, or at least close by, and had to make quite a few rounds to get everything there. It was only temporary.

Both groups struggled. Be it with shelter, physical ailments, or otherwise, they struggled. They needed each other, everyone, to be strong; but now that they were divided, things got a whole lot harder. They had to adapt and overcome, learn to be independent to an extent.

And learn they did.
