After their time of sitting down to finally look at each other, the 7 kids decided to get up and start exploring a little more. They split into two groups: one of three, and the other of four. The first had Fox, Vines, and Eyes; the second had Guardian, Historia, Silencer, and Jack. They went in separate directions but made sure to keep either the lake or the pod in sight so they could find their way back to each other.

The first group ventured off, chatting with each other and sharing a few laughs. They found more plant life and even some ground animals, though they were lizard-like and fairly small.

The second group went their own way and talked as well. Jack had decided to ask 50 questions about the original group and found out about Antlers' death and Silencer's strange actions.

"And you're just letting the psycho come with us?" he asked, his red eyes staring at Historia's brown ones.

"Sure, I'm a little scared it'll happen again, but if it does I know the others got my back. That or I can get her off myself."

"So?! You're still letting her come, and that's a danger in itself!"

"Look here, kid, I'm not leaving my friend behind just because she choked me. She wasn't like that before, never was. It's because of whatever they put in her at Paradise so I can't blame her."

He puffed out his cheeks and rolled his eyes. Historia wasn't having it and marched over to him, stopped him, and stared him down.

"Don't roll your eyes at me, mister. I could easily toss you in the air as high as I can and then wait until the last second to catch you," she warned with a straight face.

Guardian looked impressed and Silencer giggled to herself, having imagined that. Jack gulped, looking up at her, and nodded quickly.

"Y-Yes ma'am."

Her demeanor changed and she smiled at him, then ruffled his hair.

"For such a small kid you sure are a little ball of anger, aren't you?"

He just stared at her, then shrugged. He didn't want to say anything bad to her anymore. She had talons and she could probably easily fly with him. He shivered at the thought of being dropped from the sky. The horned girl giggled a little again and Jack's head swiveled to face her, him shooting a glare her way. She squeaked and fell quiet, shuffling closer to her brother.

"And what's he to you? Your boyfriend or something?" Jack asked, right back to his usual self.

"Actually, her big brother, now leave her alone," the tall one answered.

"Pfft…"

The harpy grabbed the jackalope's shoulder, startling him, and gave him a silent warning.

They went on their way and found plant life as well, then the same lizard-like creatures. They scampered around and shot under rocks or buried themselves in the sand.

The sun was beginning to set and the two groups began heading back to meet up.
