They won the fight. A lot of good men and women died for these 10 year olds (and one 9 year old). They didn't know how to repay them, other than leaving with them.

The woman who had fallen beside Xion now turned to face the group of children and reach for the weapon on her hip. Her hand fit nicely on the grip while her other placed itself under that hand and then were raised slowly towards one of their head's. Someone with dusty brown hair that curved upwards and had vines going up his hands. Her hand shook for a few seconds, then righted itself. Her index finger found its way to the trigger and then pulled it back

There was an odd electric sound from the pulsefire pistol and then a loud, echoing thunk.

"Stupid-" it was a higher pitched male voice, "did you just shoot at us?!"

A black ear and a white one stuck straight up; the owner of said ears was wielding Guardian's stick that now had a burnt hole 3 quarters up. He slammed the end of it on the ground and started yelling.

"We had a truce! You shook on it! YOU SHOOK ON IT!"

The woman had wide eyes.

"I'm not going to sit behind and watch you try to shoot one of my friends. Try again. I DARE you," Jack spoke again, narrowing his eyes and raising the stick again.

The rest of the kids were quiet, amazed even that Jack, the bully, stood up for someone he hardly knew. The woman's pistol was knocked out of her hand by one of her comrades; she looked over at him with wide eyes and opened her mouth.

"Not a word. Get your ass on that ship and you stay there. We'll get them all back," he motioned to the dead bodies, "just go."

She balled up her hands and stormed off.

"Now, all of you either get back to those ships too or expect the rest of us to carry you there. Conscious or otherwise." This guy was Mulligan.

"We're not going anywhere," a female voice spoke, crossing her ombre arms. "We're staying here; we live here and you can not  tell us otherwise. I'd rather die on this planet with my friends than go to some other planet and die alone. Or worse, die in Paradise."

"We're all with Fox on this. We're staying here," the rest joined in.

Mulligan smirked and shrugged, "fine, you leave us no choice, then."

And so the kids, which were much more rested than the soldiers,  had to protect themselves once again. They defeated a few, 5, and then had to retreat further into the cave. Most of the kids had more injuries, if not all of them, and the remaining soldiers were exhausted and injured as well.

"Guys, we're not alone," Eyes said, then pointed to this weird...girl? attached to the ceiling by what they can only assume to be suction cups.
