Eyes was later returned to the room with Silencer and Antlers, his skin just as cold as her's was. She was awake now, though shivering still, and helped bring the other kid close so they could keep warm. Antlers went next, and he didn't put up a fight. He accepted his fate.

"They lied to us," the girl muttered, "they all lied." She began rocking with the octopus boy in her arms, eyes fixated on the stone floor. It was cracked in some places, chipped on others. The blank expression she once wore was now replaced with a grin.

The vine entwined boy, slime girl, harpy girl, and siren boy now looked at each other, then nodded. They took a step out of the woods and looked around. There was a finely paved road 30 ft. from where they stood, and it lead off to the horizon. They stuck close, each looking in different directions to make sure they were still clear. Historia then took to the skies, her teal feathers making the sky seem like it was lit up with the Northern Lights. She scouted ahead and could see the top of a building, just barely, in the distance. She glided back down.

"I think Paradise is over that way," she pointed.

"Alright."

They headed that way under the cloaking of the night, keeping as quiet as they could. They stopped at some point to take a break, still having a ways to go.

"We'll be safe tied to tree branches, find a big one and curl up," came the suggestion from Vines, who then added, "I can make tough rope with my vines for each of us."

They each nodded and scrambled for the forest again, pointing out trees that look good and finally setting on a large maple tree. The climbed in, hoisting each other up, and then securing themselves with the help of Vines. "Sleep light, they'll be looking for us."

Antlers returned and was brought close by Silencer and Eyes, who was somewhat awake now. They curled up together and shook, Paradise being cold and unforgiving to kids like them. They wore merely loose garb, having been rid of their previous uniforms. Beige, baggy clothes that slipped or slid off occasionally, hardly providing warmth to them.

In the tree, the group had huddled close as well, the night proving to be colder than they'd thought. Guardian and Fox didn't sleep, wide awake and talking quietly to each other.

"Do you think they're okay?" asked Fox.

"I have a bad feeling they're not," came the low reply from Guardian.
