Eyes and Vines went out for water, Historia and Fox went for food, and the others stayed back to clean up the place. The hole was filled up and patted down so it looked like it was never touched, and the blanket was reinforced with extra vines and leaves they had around that stayed in the shelter. Several runs back and forth to the lake got them a enough water to last two days, which wasn't a lot but with the lake so close it wasn't an issue.

Fox wandered a little bit away from Historia to try and find something that would impress the whole group, and feed them good. The harpy began worrying when she noticed the absence of the slime child and she started looking for her. She searched only nearby, not wanting to get lost, and found nothing. She grew frantic with each passing second. Her head turned at the sound of a soft squeak and she spotted a green tipped, gooey ear passing behind a tree. She hurried over and was stopped by the said slime, to which a finger was pointed in front of them.

Her eyes followed her finger to a tall, abnormally skinny, grey, translucent thing close by. Its face, or where one should be, convexed where there would be a nose and the rest of it looked just like it's body. It's arms looked to be at least an inch wide, and its legs barely any thicker. Its torso was big, but it had to be barely a foot in length, and just a foot in height. Its neck was as small as your average twig. This thing looked so weird, with things inside that glowed a soft purple and red; probably the nerves if the two had to guess. It had to be 7 ft. tall, give or take a few inches.

The thing suddenly whipped around and faced them, going stiff and looking like it was ready to pounce. The two girls seized up and stared, keeping as quiet as they could. What if it only saw movement? Oh how they hoped that was the case.

It took a step forward. Then another. And another. And then... it was staring them in the face, tilting it's head left and right like a confused animal. But it was slow, calculated, and ominous. The two were shaking and trying not to breathe heavily, but they were so scared. It put a hand up at lightning speed and spread it long, bony fingers, which then neared Fox's face. She started melting, fear taking over her slime properties and causing the creature to jerk it's hand back and then make this awful screeching sound.

"Run!" Historia whisper-yelled to Fox, who was trying to regather herself. The harpy helped out and they sprinted back the way they came, panting and sweating, even crying.

Something grabbed the taller girl by the shoulder and her head turned quick to see the thing right there. She shrieked and ran faster, jerking herself forward to get out of its grasp. Fox had jolted off when it grabbed her shoulder; its fingers had pressed into her skin and almost drew blood, that's what got her moving. They reached the shelter and dove inside, sobbing and screaming and alerting those there. They saw the lifeform approaching at breakneck speed and they quickly grabbed their weapons and tools, ready for a fight.
