They ran as fast as they could, dodging and slipping past people's arms and legs. Eyes was pressed further than he would've liked, and had to be tugged along by Guardian or Vines at one point, his legs feeble. Fox jumped around, trying her best to lure guards after her rather than the group, though only a few actually paid her any mind. Silencer kept her eyes wandering, endlessly searching for different ways out, another path, a hall to turn down and lose them. Historia bat her wings a couple of times, sending gusts of wind forward, propelling those in front of her and sending them barreling into the soldiers ahead, which did help the group's case.

Eventually, they reached the back entrance, where soldiers and guards alike stood outside at the ready with their weapons. Guns, blades, axes, etc. They outnumbered the kids, but they only had those weapons for they were mere humans. Suddenly, Silencer stopped them and whispered something to Guardian, who nodded and took a deep breath. They rest steeled themselves, prepared for the worst. The door opened and they all sucked in sharp breaths.

A minute later, the clink of metal hitting pavement sounded and they opened their eyes to find their tall friend in the middle of it. He was calm, composed, and kept turning his head to each individual human. There was also this quiet voice, soothing and alluring, that seemed to be singing. All the humans were captivated by Guardian, their gazes locked on his shimmering, bright pink eyes.

Each one saw what they wanted to see, be that escaping this place or just simply getting with a lover. The small group got the hint and took off for the forest, not looking back until they reached it. Historia then turned and took off for Guardian, ignoring any protests. She grabbed his arm and began aggressively batting her wings at the semicircle of humans, knocking some off their feet and staggering others. She then continued while Guardian turned to run, grabbed her arm and pulling her along. She stopped and let her wings fold back to run faster, panting heavily. Pulse rounds hit the ground around them, forcing them certain ways or putting one in from of the other. One "bullet" nicked Guardian's left shoulder and another hit his right calf. He kept running, biting his lip to prevent from yelling.

Historia got shot in one of her wings, muffling a scream with her hands. They reached the forest and ran with the others further into, then began climbing some of the trees. They huddled up and kept quiet, waiting for the soldiers to pass.

Hours had passed before they were finally in the clear. They climbed down and Fox laid Eyes against one of the trees, staying by his side. Vines and Silencer tended to Guardian and Historia's wounds, cleaning them with aloe vera plants nearby and then wrapping them (if needed) with large leaves and Vines' plant growing ability.

There were free… but for how long, they wondered.
