Gone

Several bodies were doubled over seatbelts, quite painfully too. One or two had been launched forward into a control panel, having pressed quite a few buttons that caused the ship to land, open and close the hatch, and give several packets of powdered food from a dispenser. They looked to be dead if not given a second glance, though the smallest rise of their chests indicated otherwise.

It was an hour later when the first few had woken, those being the boys. They each gathered themselves and grouped up around the girls, protecting them while they still lay unconscious. They didn't say anything. Nothing needed to be said. They knew what happened.

Half an hour later, the rest were up and going, taking the packets of food to eat. They weren't picky, too hungry to be that way. When they finished, the boy with a sprout on his head strode over and told them that they weren't in space any more. No… they were somewhere else.

"TRAPPEL-1?" Fox asked quietly.

The others shrugged and assumed so. Guardian and Silencer led the way since they were the ones assigned here, though they knew nothing of what this planet was. The air was different, not quite oxygen but it was still breathable for them. It was the air Silencer had first breathed when she was "born." The planet was a dull orange-red, mostly sandy, and little pates of grass. There was fauna, but very little looked like the fauna from Earth

It was shaped oddly, curved in ways that shouldn't be possible, colored in a soft blue rather than green sometimes, or a burnt brown. There were several ponds of water nearby, varying in size, depth, and even color. Some were more murky than others, some astonishingly clear. As they explored, they found that the sun cast a warm red glow on the sand, and it wasn't really that hot. It was a comfortable temperature.

They walked a little further, keeping the ship in sight, and found a large lake of an aquamarine blue with teal streaks and a few bubbles from the sides. They stepped closer and examined it. The lake extended into a valley, where it changed into a river, and disappeared around a bend.

Inside the water, there were peculiar looking fish. Most of them were small, but they were shaped oddly. A mix of an octopus type of creature with a regular blue gill or even minnow. They swam like a snake, moving sideways, and propelled themselves with their sea green tentacles. The kids watched them and were actually kind of happy; they were away from Earth, away from all those scientists, away from humans.

They were gone, but there.

A little light, which flashed white every few seconds, appeared from behind each of their left ears.
