A multitude of eyes wandered up to the weird creature attached to the ceiling. Her head was bent a certain way so that she could see them, though they were upside down in her eyes, which were sclera types. They were almost completely black, the whole eyeball, except for a dark blue iris; she lacked pupils. Two light blue tentacles that faded into purple hung from her head along with a mop of vibrant light blue hair. 8 more tentacles protruded from her back, the same color as her first two, but they were bigger. She wore a cloth, black tank-top with blue swimsuit looking shorts. Tusks angled down her mouth and reached chin level plus a few centimeters. Her skin was peach though had a faint blue tone to it. She was studied extensively, but only for so long. The kids didn't catch everything.

"Why you in my cave…?" Rang a feminine voice that spoke simple, broken English with a heavy accent that was indistinguishable.

There was silence. And then Mulligan was charging back, gun raised and ready. The kids swiveled and prepared their weapons, only to watch as the man in the suit stopped. He seemed frozen in place and, beyond that helmet and visor was mortified at the sight. Chills ran up everyone's backs and soon, the man and his men were running out and back to their ships. The kids felt the chills dissipate and they looked around.

A quiet whistle blew through the cave, then Historia looked to the ground. Jack did too and then the rest followed. One of them spotted a small pile of grey, dusty ashes that blew away as the wind drifting through.

"A-Answer me," the amphibious alien creature said again. The kids looked up.

"We were um… we were fighting these aliens with these humans and-"

"Humans? I'll kill them…where did they go?!" The whole atmosphere went from dreary and fear filled to a bit of concern.

"They're gone by now, or calling for more," Vines said, rubbing an arm gently.

This squid girl decided to detach herself from the ceiling. Loud pops echoed almost endlessly as thousands of suckers left the cold stone surface. She landed on her feet, though did stumble a little, and then turned to walk away. Her cheeks were a dark blue, and soon her nose and ear tips were darker colored as well, giving the effect of her blushing.

"H-Hey wait! You're just gonna leave us after wondering why we were here?" It was Eyes.

She fiddled with a tusk and shrugged shyly, stopping. "Yes?" Then, "are you humans?"

"Not exactly, no."

She took a look at all of them and decided they weren't. "Home. I'm going."

She started off again and, this time the person to stop her was Guardian.

"Did you scare those guys away?" he asked.

"Not me. Was a ghost. I saw it," came the broken response. It was clear English was not her first, maybe not even second, language.

"Oh…"

Silencer and Eyes looked at each other for a split second. Then, Eyes went forward and moved his arm appendages towards the girl. "Who are you?"

"Only underwater."

"Huh?"

"Only say underwater," she repeated.

"Then tell me underwater, Squid Girl," he said, looking at her seriously. The other kids followed along but the alien was obviously a bit uncomfortable at the new arrivals. She liked peace, quiet, and keeping to herself.

Things were about to change for her.
