One of the American subjects lay on the ground. It was a person dressed in a skintight suit, black, with a metal outer shell. It looked much like what the human pilots and fighters wear, only it was modified to for their genetic mutations. This particular person had several tails protruding from it's lower back and large ears on top of its head. He, which they'd assumed by the hair and lack of chest, was caramel in color as far as skin goes. His fur was a light peach, toned with white at the tips. Silencer extended a hand out and tried to say something, tried to make a sound, but nothing came. Guardian held her back and Serpent stayed in front.

"They will not listen to you, not after witnessing just what you'll do to get your way. We want to live like you, free. We want to learn and grow at our own paces, not be pushed so far that we fall. Pushed so far we're declared as 'failures,'" the beast's voice rumbled out.

Laughter. Maniacal laughter.

It came from General Biyu.

A slew of Chinese poured from her lips with the addition of a smile so disturbing that it sent chills to even the beast before her.

The group of subjects beyond the army, who started out as mere test tube babies, had been through so much more than any 10 year old should. Intensive training, failure, Paradise where amalgamates are formed, death, escape, and so much more. Children. /Children/, just like you or I, have been through enough to last a thousand lifetimes. Their journey thus far has only just begun.

Ripped from their shock by another gun shot, one aimed right for Squid. The bullet would have penetrated her skull had her tentacle not had a mind of its own. It arced over her face and took the bullet, giving the native being time to snap her head to the side. The bullet, slightly slowed by the tentacle, now nicked her left ear. Stunned momentarily, all the creature could do was let her mouth hang open partially, tusks resting on her chin. Then there was an awful screech, filled with both pain and rage. Blue liquid leaked from the bullet wounds and fell to the ground below, staining the grass.

The rest were in shock, staring at either the enraged native or the general who just shot her. Bubbles lunged forward, mouth open and tusks bared like a dog's canine teeth. Regaining the ability to function, the others near her leaped into action. Eyes went to try and hold her back, wanting her to remain safe rather than jump in on a whim. Serpent tried to block the army's view of the children by moving around, but a blue and purple mass flung from behind it, hurtling towards the female general.

"Bubbles!" the winged being yelled.

Gunshots rang out and blood was spilled. The outcome wasn't a pretty sight.
